Missing You
Missing You
To Michelle Moore

i've been living all alone trying to get you out of my life but after all this time i can't help myself but miss you you're once a dream that came true an illusion that turned to reality but suddenly, things turned differently the way they used to be until such time i have no choice but to let you go you're the reason for my sleepless nights coz you keep stayin' on my mind i can't help myself from crying coz i'm missing you so much........

all the pain & sadness are bound inside my heart all the memories are still preserved in my mind i miss you so much coz i can't hide the fact that i'm still in love with you my life will never be the same again now that you're gone i'll be trapped in this loneliness forever unless a boy like you will bloom into my life again....
I thought this was a letter I would never have to write,
I hoped my tongue was something I could bite.
I've realized its just something I cannot do,
Here are my feelings, just a few.
First, I'm still so In Love with you, after all this time,
You told me the same, then left me, what a crime.
Time has passed, everyday you're on my mind,
Your love is with someone else now, what a bind.
I'm so jealous, she's the luckiest gal I know,
I can't do this friendship thing anymore, so off I go.

The pain of losing you is still fresh in my brain, even after so much time, everyday my heart feels the pain.
Will we ever be together again, i say as I sob and mope as each day passes, I lose a little more hope.
I'll always love you hold these words true
Don't hate me for this, this is what pain is making me do.
My heart is broken in so many a part,
Do I still have a place in your heart?

In her essay “Disconnected,” Lynda Smith makes the point that technology that claims to bring people together is actually doing just the opposite, driving them apart, but her argument is ineffective because she fails to provide concrete evidence of her claim. Very early in the essay she claims she is a technophobe, which only reduces her credibility on the topic. She then continues on with an altogether weak argument on the failures of technology in the world around us.…

Text messaging can affect a person’s social skills, writing skills, driving skills. The money that people spend on phones and texting can cause financial hardship. Text messaging has begun to have a detrimental effect on teens writing skills. They use abbreviations, as most teenagers get used to short texting, some of their grades dropped due to the spelling errors they make. So many teens get used to abbreviating that they write that way. Teenager’s writing skills have turned into sentence fragments because of the limited space that they put texts into sentence. Vocabulary and grammar is also affecting their literacy. They seem to pay more attention to their phone than what the teacher is teaching. They seem to have the phones that will spell the word for them so they don’t have to worry about spelling. So when they at school they really don’t really pay attention to their spelling, therefore” lowering their i.q points lol”.…

    Hey You

I am doing this first short paper on language and social identity. “Language is a systematic set of symbols and signs with learned and shared meanings within a culture”. It can be written, spoken, and with gestures or signs. This article is about how language shapes culture in a variety of ways. Language is the key component to a culture, without it there is no culture. Every culture has their own language, each of us might speak differently but doesn’t necessarily mean we think differently. In education, is mainly where we learn the language in whatever culture you’re from. We are taught how to speak since 2 years old and in that that’s how we are identified on what language we use. I as an American we are taught to try to speak more than one language, that’s why there offer course at school to learn to different language like Spanish or French. From experience I believe that learning another language is hard because not only you have to learn the language you have to learn the culture. So I believe it goes hand and hand with each other. You’re identified on how you look and what language you speak. “Culture refers to people’s learned and shared behaviors and beliefs”. So what is a language? A language is learned by a group of certain people and shared by a certain group of people. That is culture. Languages, of course, are human creations, tools we invent and hone to suit our needs. Simply showing that speakers of different languages think differently doesn't tell us whether it's language that shapes thought or the other way around. As we uncover how languages and their speakers differ from one another, we discover that human natures too can differ dramatically, depending on the languages we speak. Language is the single most important thing in a culture and how do we learn it,…

The movie, “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?” relates to the life of Odysseus, a Greek king. The simplest similarity between Odysseus and Ulysses Everett McGill is that the name Odysseus in Latin is Ulysses. Because they shared the same name many things throughout each stories connect them. Throughout these stories both Odysseus and Everett experience unfortunate events while they are sleeping. In the film Everett was always startled and awoken by the guards because they sound him while he was sleeping. Pete and Delmar related to Odysseus’s following. I found it interesting that Pete was captured and they thought he was killed in a toad form, until they are reunited. I thought that this gave a twist to the main three characters, Everett, Pete, and Delmar.…

L I z z I e B o r d e n A little over a century ago a gruesome double murder was committed, in the 2-½ story house at 92 Second Street, in Fall River, Massachusetts. This crime shocked the nation as Lizzie Borden, a 32-year-old Sunday school teacher, went on trial for the murder of her father and her stepmother. An all male jury eventually acquitted her on the accusations. To this day, the murderer of Andrew J. Borden and Abby Gray Borden is still unknown, but in the public mind everyone believes it was Lizzie Borden. Lizzie was born and grew up in Fall River, Mass. She was the youngest daughter of Andrew Jackson Borden, who was a very successful Banker and Sarah Morse Borden. Sarah died when Lizzie was very young and Andrew then married Abby Durfee Gray. Lizzie grew up with an elder sister, Emma. Neither of them has ever married. The sisters hated their stepmother, mainly because of the family’s inferior social position. On the day of August 4, 1892, the bodies of Andrew Borden and his wife were found mutilated. As opposed to 40 whacks, in the popular rhyme, 19 blows struck Abby Borden by a hatchet or axe to the back of her head and neck. At the time she was cleaning the guestroom of the family home, at 9:30 am. Andrew Borden, who had returned home around 10:30 am, after his daily business had been attended to, was either napping or reading the newspaper on a couch in the parlor, when he was attacked. 11 blows were rained upon Mr. Borden's head and face, to the point that one eye hung from its socket upon his cheek, and his close friend and physician, Dr. Bowen, couldn’t recognize him. There were only two people in or about the house at the time of the killings, Lizzie Andrew Borden and Bridget Sullivan, the Borden's maid. There is some speculation as to others that may have been responsible for these heinous acts. Among the other alleged killers are John Morse, the brother of Andrew's first wife, a secret lover Lizzie was said to have, though never named, Emma…
