Moral development 0-19 years
Babies
When babies are in the whom they don’t never feel hungry or left alone. As they are born the feelings they had when they were inside start to change, this is why they cry. Babies will feel hunger and loneliness then will understand what is right and wrong, as they do not like pain and being fed, having cuddles changes this and makes them feel better.
Toddlers
Toddlers now develop a mind of their own and like to do whatever they want. They have to be told if they are doing something they shouldn’t that it is wrong, else they will not understand that they shouldn’t be doing it.
3-7 years
Children of this age range realise how they should behave as long as they have been corrected throughout their life time, and that they are going to have consequences if they misbehave. They understand the feelings of other adults and children and expect elders to be in charge.
7-10
Have more respect for adults who are fair and understand their feelings to. e.g. (I will take you and your friend to the pictures if you help me with the house work later). They realise that other children and views as well and they will think I can do it if I don’t get caught.
Teens
Are more vulnerable to peer pressure and should go with what is right to them if they have been brought up correctly. They realise if they should or should not be doing something for themselves.
Basically from birth to teens moral development is, * “It’s right because it feels right to me” * “It’s right because it’s what we do in our family” * “It’s right because it is right”
If the child has been brought up with good moral

First, I will discuss how toddlers and teenagers are the same. The most obvious similarity between the two is the need for independence. Toddlers want to do EVERYTHING by themselves. It does not matter what it is…the most common phrase among toddlers is “I do it”. They will only accept help as a last resort. Teenagers also want to do things on their own. They want to go out by themselves to prove that they are growing up. The independence for both of them is the same though because they want to prove something. The growth during both of these stages is very important too. Toddlers are learning how to do all kinds of new things so that they can be more independent. Teenagers are learning how to be more adult. They are both going through a “growth spurt” at these ages, trying to come into their own and be their own person. Another similarity between toddlers and teenagers is that they push boundaries with authority. Toddlers are known for the word “no”. They must be told repetitively about something, yet they will still push to see how far they can go. This is the way toddlers learn. Teenagers also use the word “no” a lot because they feel superior to everything and everyone. They push boundaries as well but they know the consequences. They both have selective hearing, and choose to hear what they want. If they hear something they do not like, they both will throw a tantrum. Both toddlers and teenagers have a tendency to…

As the children develop a sense of right and wrong and of fairness, they should be encouraged by positive reinforcement, and by praise when they share, rather than telling off and always addressing negative behaviours. Temper tantrums are common as they learn to express themselves and are not really a cause for concern although can be a nuisance.…

Every child has to come to the realization at one time or another that they cannot be a kid forever. They must at some point ‘grow up’ and learn that they will soon have to rely on themselves instead of having their parents continually help them. I guess I learned that the first time I started babysitting a girl who at the time was about seven years old.…

Children and adults can be compared on how they respond to situations and how they act. Children have been seen to act in a more free manor. They mostly worry about themselves, over time learning to consider other’s views and feelings when completing an action. Typical adult actions, however, are almost entirely controlled by thoughts and feelings aware of the world around them. Children act on impulses, while adults have been mentally trained to act against these impulses, acting in a way to appear acceptable in their society, generally. There is a lot of pressure on adults to conform to act a certain way, as there is for children, but only adults feel this pressure. Children are somewhat aware of what they can get away with, as figuring this…
