INTRODUCTION
IT Extraordinaire has taken the initiative to implement THE ARIES 11+ SOFTWARE within the S.E.A classes, targeted at a particular primary school within the Caroni district. Within the given time frame, specific measures will be taken to ensure that the software will be successfully implemented through proper training of staff, preparation of IT labs and workshops with the stakeholders. Each task will be broken down accordingly and assigned to the necessary team members and each process will be thoroughly monitored to ensure that there are no hindrances to the project.
SYNOPOSIS OF THE ARIES 11+ SOFTWARE:
The ARIES 11+ Software is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (M.O.E) to enhance learning in the Primary School System of Trinidad and Tobago. This Software was specifically designed by Aries Technologies Incorporated to meet the needs of Caribbean students at the SEA level, focusing on the subject areas of Mathematics and English
The software has been successfully adapted to assist S.E.A Teachers achieve their goals by enhancing students learning through working sample questions and sample exams. With a sufficient amount of practice, the child becomes familiar with the material which will help their confidence and speed during the examination.
The software underwent a thorough evaluation exercise by the Ministry of Education to assess its readiness for installation in the primary schools. The programs were assessed by the Curriculum Department within the Ministry to ensure that the software was in accordance with the objectives outlined in the SEA curriculum.
RATIONALE FOR THE INITIATIVE
1. The central focus of this initiative is to enhance the education sector of Trinidad and Tobago, by providing teachers with an additional tool to utilize within the classroom for instruction of the Mathematics and English subject areas.
