Minnie Mouse
Minnie Mouse is the girlfriend of Mickey Mouse created by The Walt Disney Company. Minnie is sweet-natured and fun-loving. The comic strip story The Gleam by Merrill De Maris and Floyd Gottfredson first gave her full name as Minerva Mouse. "Minerva" has since been a recurring alias for her. Minnie also shares the same birthday with her boyfriend, Mickey Mouse.
In most appearances, Minnie is presented as a close friend of Daisy Duck. Her favorite hobbies are dancing, gardening, shopping, music, fashion, and spending time with Mickey.

Characteristics:

Personality
She enjoys dinners, movies, and basically spending as much time as possible with Mickey. Overall Minnie is sweet, beautiful and fun-loving but she has moments when her anger gets the better of her. Despite this, she is never the "bad guy" in the situation. She is one of few friends around Mickey that always has a good reason to be upset. Like Mickey she enjoys travel, and on many occasions she plays the role as the "damsel in distress".

She has been described by some characters as feisty being able to speak what she feels no matter the person she's up against which is how she manages to assist Mickey in saving her. She is known for having a motherly side, as well as often being the voice of reason in her circle of friends. She is relatively calm during hectic periods and usually viewed as the most reliable and/or level-headed in the group. While genuinely gentle, Minnie has been shown to get frustrated quickly. Times like this include Mickey forgetting dates, Pluto orFigaro misbehaving, Mortimer's harrassment, Pete's schemes,Donald's temper, and Daisy's over the top energy.
Minnie Mouse is more than just Mickey's girlfriend, however. Her strong character includes numerous personality traits. As a strong but fun female character, Minnie has gathered many fans throughout the world, who travel to Disneyland and other Disney Parks to meet this well known heroine.

When the readers are first introduced to Myrtle, it does not leave a respectable impression: “she was in her middle thirties, and faintly stout…her face… contained no facet or gleam of beauty.”(25). Myrtle is depicted as a curvy, robust, and brassy. Furthermore, the colours Myrtle wear exemplifies the contrast between the pure white colour of the upper class. Myrtle was not raised in the privileged; hence she has to claw out everything she has through Tom. On the contrary, Daisy is portrayed as a glamourous, glowing, and beautiful human being. Thus allowing the readers to play favourites with Daisy: “Her face was sad and lovely with bright things in it, bright eyes and a bright passionate mouth” (9). Opposed to Myrtle, daisy is depicted as ethereal and graceful. In addition daisy is often found wearing white; symbolizing cleanliness, wealth, and purity. Unlike Myrtle, Daisy was raised with a privileged life allowing her to have anything she desires. Daisy is interpreted as light skin tone and blond, contrary to myrtle being depicted as gaudy and tanned. Although these two women share the…

The first thing we think about when we think of Disney, is Mickey Mouse. In 1928, “Steamboat Willie” was Mickey’s biggest appearance. Mickey Rooney and Disney’s wife, Lillian, both take tribute to Mickey’s name. At first it was Mortimer, but Lillian thought it was too stuck up. Rooney thought it was him because he met Disney shortly before the creation of the mouse. Mickey Mouse is the biggest thing in entertainment all around the world, especially America. People vote for him in some local elections and he was the top most common person to be voted for in November 2014. Cohort Donald Duck is right under Mickey. In 1987, Georgia made a law to where people can not vote for Mickey and Wisconsin is too soon (Ulster). That just says how much people love him; they love him enough to vote for him.…

Over the course of the past 80 years we have seen major growth in the company of Disney and the way it presents itself to the rest of the world. One of the many ways Disney presents itself is by the animated films they produce, more specifically, the princess films, that we all know and love. In this paper, I will explore the role and functions of the Disney princesses over the past 80 years and discuss their differences. In particular, the femme fatales we see when Walt Disney was in charge, and how it is the princess rather than the hero who becomes the central figure in these films. On the other side, I will look at Team Disney and how they turn the princesses from damsels to more democratic.…

In the opening exposition, the plot reveals Aunt Minnie’s first telling of her terrifying sexual experience as a teenager and she is characterized as young minded and frightened. Her telling of her story makes it sound like she is purely innocent and has no fault in the incident where she gets trapped in the cornfields, and in her opinion, is almost assaulted by many men, and after turning to Minister Fairchild, the minister as well, as she tells, “[h]e grabbed hold of me –that dreadful face of his was right on mine- and began clawing the clothes off my back” (785). She is characterized as frightened and/or trying to frighten her audience, as she is shown to have “become strangely agitated. Her hands were shaking, her face was crimson. She frightened us” (785). Through descriptions of her telling the story, it is apparent that she is embarrassed, traumatized, and insecure.…
