1. How can you create theme areas that will also promote future sales for the hotel (such as food and beverages, rooms, conventions, etc)?
According to the case, this hotel adopted some Hollywood theme areas such as the Wizard of Oz and Gone with the wind. Therefore the food and beverages should match these types of theme. For example, manager could names food and beverage related to the theme or use some fantasy tableware cater for the customers. The reason is the customer want enjoy the difference in these themes. The rooms and conventions also should match with the theme that the hotel selected. The “consistency” might be significant for further sales and the potential customers. Thus, almost every detail should be matched with the themes to cater for the customers need.
2. Who should be invited to this party, and how will you follow up with them later to ensure they actually invest in the hotel in the future?
As the reason of this hotel is doing re-brand with theme, celebrities, famous movie directors, especially can represent the relative theme, real estate investment companies CEO, local government officials, original cooperative corporations’ CEO, new entertainment and fashion industry corporations’ CEO, and those companies’ CEO who manufacture relative themes’ products could be attracted by the new brand and event, should be invited to this party. The good reputation of this event will attract investors, meanwhile the hotel could sign contract with those investors that provide them conferences’ packages to let them enjoy the hotel’ s facilities, rooms and services during their meeting or event time with cheaper price. Cooperate with movie directors to make films here thus increase renown and provide celebrities private and comfortable services to attract them.
