Benefits of Process Model
The operation of milk production in Carrie Milk Products Pty. Ltd (CMP) consists of many processes. Process model can be used to portray current systems at CMP. Process model is a sequential representation of process tasks in a company. Integration of activities from different departments is clearly captured in the process model.
It is crucial for every worker of CMP to understand the process of producing milk and other milk-produced products. Social networking is the practice that can help to grow business. As Facebook is common and famous nowadays, people are getting used to browse their Facebook day-to-day. Staffs might prefer using Facebook as collaboration platform. Therefore, Facebook is recommended to be adopted in CMP to improve collaboration.
CMP can create a business account at Facebook and invite all employees to join its account. Also, CMP can set up confidential Facebook groups to secure the privacy of the company. For instance, if CMP is having business activities, this requires the staffs to think about the business strategy. Now, staffs of CMP can share their ideas and information at the confidential group on Facebook. A part from that, CMP can post qualified products photos on Facebook timeline to reinforce its trademark.
Furthermore, managers from different departments in CMP can update their activities on the Facebook wall so that other managers and staffs can focus on the activity and provide assistance and

As everyone can edit the content of Wiki, its publication involves more than one participant. When different teams in CMP are carrying out the same operation, then wiki can be used to describe the processes so that different teams will not have a problem of differentiation.
In conclusion, Facebook and wiki can be employed as web 2.0 tools to improve collaboration in CMP.
The process model above illustrates the production processes in CMP. First and foremost, the sales department should organize promotions and road shows to promote the products of CMP. Then, consumers will have a better understanding of the products from successive promotions and road shows held by CMP.
Next, distributors who are interested in the products can submit the purchase orders to CMP. After receive the purchase orders, the sales department should check the quantity, price and credit term that distributors look forward to. When sales department confirms and approves the purchase orders, invoices should be issued to the distributors or consumers. Also, the sales department must keep the sales data and pass on to the purchasing
