The people should be moving forward for achievement and should give a commitment to the values we defend. Policies that should be created would be the ones that interfere with the duty and performance of military men and women. With this change, the country would have a stronger force for the next generation due to national character and contribution.
Kime starts out by stating a quote by Ash Carter that says discrimination has “ no place in America's armed forces,” She states the effects that would happen because of this sexual orientation addition and how this would be a protection from discrimination. Kime started with facts, then further explained her thoughts about it. When she used very complex words, she defined and explained them for deeper understanding. Some facts or statistics that I find very interesting would be the estimated 15,500 transgender troops that are currently serving in the military. To have this many transgender in the military is very moving because despite the barriers that the military had, these people still wanted to serve the country.
