Miest And Nibbe Family Analysis
This paper will be discussing the Miest and Nibbe family history. It will be also talking about my personality and who I am. First I will be be talking about the Miest Family. The Miest family name started in the year, 1693, in Germany. Paul Frederick Miest fought in WWII for the German Army. He was a communications expert who would set up communication lines behind the Panzer tanks. He was on the Eastern front during the winter the Panzers were stuck in the mud during a spring thaw. He was wounded twice and captured on the Western front at the end of the war. He never fired his gun - he didn't know if he could ever fire his gun at another person. After World War II, most of the Miest's crossed to the western side of the Elbe, where there was another family farm. When the Russians came in after the war, they eliminated all the land boundaries to make the huge communistic farms (on the Eastern side of the Elbe River). The house and grove was left, as there was a distant cousin living there. However, when they moved out in 1989, the Russians came in with bulldozers and leveled the buildings. Before they could haul away the rubble, the Iron Curtain came down and they place hasn't changed since. You can make out the outline of the foundation of the house and the well still remains. In the late 1990's, as the result of the reunification of East and West Germany,the Miest's were given back some land roughly in the vicinity of the original farm place. Years later Sig Fredricson came to The united states to become a United States citizen. He became a United States citizen and was drafted into the United States army.
