Metamorphosis By Franz Kafka
The paper is a reflection of two stories written on different time spans, based on different sets of cultures. The common theme that has been used in the stories is the magical foundations upon which they have been developed which are an old man with wings and a man transforming to a cockroach. In Metamorphosis, as written by Franz Kafka, is a story of Gregor, who experience a physical transformation, resulting in him being unable to work and provide for his parents and sister like he used to. He worked himself very hard to the point that converted him to vermin. Before he died, his family had begun seeing him as a nuisance. Gregor started by supporting Mr. and Mrs. Samsa’s family in that, the condition of life they lived was from his finances. The type of house has to change ones he is dead, he was paying his father’s debt and wanted to take his sister to a conservatory to better her violin playing skills. In the old man with enormous wings, the angel earns large money to Pelayo and Elisenda’s family that they build a building with all facilities to curb the club problem during the rainy season.
To add one more thing, the main characters are human but they have been treated like animals. In metamorphosis, Gregor is crawling all over the room, he is ignored that the parents don’t want to see him. In fact, the father is the person who takes him back to the room when he had gets out at first, the sister even takes food to him secretly not to be seen by anybody. The mother is denied the chance to see him despite insisting. In the angel’s story, the old man is kept in a chicken coop with the other birds. He remains there and they don’t make him a separate cage even after earning large money because of
