Metamore Case Summary
In a narrative format, discuss the key facts and critical issues presented in the case.

In the Midwest historical town of Metamore, Indiana lives Betty Shiver owner and operator of Betty’s Crystal a store that sells collectible glass figurines, Betty gets some of her merchandise from estate sales and auditions, while a majority of the store's crystal figurines merchandise comes from merchants Baccarat, Lalique, Orrefors, and Swarovski. Metamore is located around several major metropolitan areas; weekend travelers can get to Betty's Crystal in less than one day. The tourist attraction and weekend visitor’s gives Betty has her best sales during the summer and spring months, however doing the colder months sales are low due to the lack of tourisms.

    James McGlothen worked as a project manager and interior division manager for Heritage Environmental Service, LLC from 1992 to 1998. In 1998, he was assigned to a sales job. However since he did not like the assignment, he decided to resign and work for the company’s competitor.
