According to the tables on pages thirty nine through forty the studies that presented show that women earn seventy seven percent of what men make during an average of fifteen years, but the studies which show the true incomes pay between the two different sexes shows us that the gap is much greater. Women are actually only making sixty two percent of what men are earning. The figure is summed up when the men's average earnings were at $49,068 and women's were far below the men's income at $ 29,507 for the fifteen year average. While the study showed that women had a tendency to work few hours, the men's pay was remarkably higher. The concept that the women's pay was as low as half their male counter part raises large concern for the women that are single. Single women would be obligated to live only off of only one salary that is half the salary of a mans. This is one of many concerns over gender discrimination. The men's salary is increasing faster because of the wage pay of the starting salary. The average male earns up to seventeen percent more in the begging pay then women. More reasons causing the gap between the genders to remain distant is the ratio of men to women who earn over $50,000. Forty two percent of men a year earn well over $50,000. Women on the other hand have a pathetic nine percent of all females that earn over $50,000 a year. This huge difference makes it nearly unattainable to close the gap between different sex
