Subject: Trip Memo-Report
I participated in the ESB Networking Event at January 30. It is a great opportunity for me to meet and communicate with employers and learn about some information of a few companies. This report focuses on what I learned from the special experience and how it influences my thought and my future job.

Experience in the ESB Networking Event
Different companies provided different career options at the event. For example, Children Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan hired volunteers, which were to teach children or take care of children. In addition, Affinity Credit Union provided positions for part-time jobs and full-time jobs about accounts and services. I was interested in this company, and talked with Lori who was human resources advisor. She told me some information about the company and part-time jobs in summer. Affinity Credit Union is one of the largest credit union in Canada, and it offers products and services to achieve their members’ financial goals. The employees should have good communication skills and management abilities. As a finance major student, it is an opportunity to learn and be familiar with the financial business. If I am hired, it will be an excellent experience for my future career.

Value of the experience
In fact, I am afraid of attending an event, because I do not know how to communicate with potential employers and other businessman. However, after this event, I think it is necessary for an undergraduate student though I am still worry about my speaking ability. Communication is an important part in the future career, such as how to talk with leaders, how to chat with colleagues and how to negotiate with other corporations. Hence, the most important factor for participant in the event is to improve an ability of communication. In addition, it is also an opportunity to open up one’s eyes. Study tasks are heavy for undergraduate students; so many students do not have enough time to take part in social

Have you ever left a container with some type of liquid in it and wondered how it could it evaporate so quickly? The evaporation of an unpredictable liquid is an endothermic process that results in a temperature decrease. The amount of temperature decrease is related to the strength of intermolecular forces of attraction. The rate of evaporation can be described as the change of temperature divided by the time it takes to reach the lowest temperature. ΔT/Δt (°C/s). In this experiment my group and I are investigating factors that determine the strength of intermolecular forces by determining the rate at which liquids evaporate. The different types of intermolecular forces are as follows, Ion dipole are the strongest forces, Dipole Dipole which are between polar molecules and both positive and negative ions attract to each other, dispersion are the weakest of all intermolecular forces, they also are formed by the shifting of electron clouds within molecules and hydrogen bonding which is attractive force between the hydrogen attached to an electronegative atom of one molecule and an electronegative atom…

Usually inbreeding is a great tool used to get more of the desired traits in livestock, but when it comes to wild animals the outcome is not as successful. I feel that inbreeding is only harmful to wild animals because unlike domesticated animals wild animals are not in a controlled environment. I believe that there is much more effort put into conserving endangered species in the wild. After all the programs made for red wolves, they still seem to not be at the desired or expected population…

Although the Aztecs and the Incas were both isolated groups with a powerful and elite middle class in South America that existed around the same time, the empires developed different political means. The Aztecs were a major tribe/civilization located in Central Mexico. The Incas were also a tribe/civilization located in Peru. While their geographic locations were completely different, they had established a society with a unique form of political structure. Even though they were both centralized governments, they still differed in many ways. They also had some few similarities.…

    1. Lou Zar's action regarding to sewing a replica of the U.S. flag to cover the backside/seat of his uniform pants was not unconstitutional. There needs to be compelling reason to restrict Lou from wearing that uniform that caused negative emotion. It would be unconstitutional if the government restricted Zar from wearing his uniform without a compelling reason. The government cannot prove that Zar's intentions were to commit or threaten any act of violence through his speech. It is true that Zar's action caused other people to get angry at the message he was trying to send and caused violence against him. But, Zar had every right to express his message by wearing his uniform. Also, there was no evidence the people are provoked by the uniform…

Looking back on the course as a whole, I have learned how to effectively analyze my audience and distinguish and adapt my writing for that audience. I learned different ways to make technical documents look appealing to readers while also using graphics ad white space to effectively show the words of the documents. I learned how to work better in a team setting as well as improved my individual writing. My sentence structure and effectiveness has definitely improved over the semester as well. My thoughts about technical writing and technical documents wasn't changed much except for how much thought needs to be put into who the audience is and how to write specifically to that audience. Learning how to write memos effectively and just the general format for them will help me in the workplace. The help I received on my resume and cover letter during the course will help me tremendously getting into the workplace.…

What’s better than being able to look down the road and say “I have ‘never worked a day in my life’?” Having a passion for acting and singing, I hope to one day incorporate that in what I do for a living. Brands, Finance and Performance Arts are the three things that I want to start a business with, considering I want to run my own Event Management company that would focus on organizing performing art festivals, theatrical plays etc. Having studied Marketing at Business School, and with an ongoing major in Finance, I have theoretical know-how of the ways I can make this happen but through the seminars on Branding and Finance, I hope to learn practical applications of my idea. Branding would help me sell my idea and develop my unique selling proposition, while considering I have a lack of financial means, Finance would help me surpass that by equipping me with knowledge about acquiring investors and effective management of finances. There is no better way of widening your horizon than through listening to other people and studying their journeys-their goals, their aspirations, the obstacles they faced and how they over-came them. Moreover, humans being social animals, I have a thirst for meeting new people because I consider there’s nothing that can add to your perspective more than spending an hour talking to a complete stranger. This not only adds to personal development but will help me approach my business idea from angles I never knew existed. This conference and these workshops pose as the perfect opportunities for widening my business acumen and also as brilliant networking prospects. I want go back to my country, equipped with this new-found information and apply it to my country not only in terms of my business idea but also in developmental efforts. And hopefully, someone else will be returning to theirs, knowing I helped them in my own little way.…

The feeling when leaving the event was one of joy combined with the mild disappointment. The last arose mostly of the tedious repeating in the things advertised and presented. The first – from the feeling of activity and readiness and from some good accents in presentations. I would certainly recommend the event to anyone with the interest in the field, although not to someone whose sole purpose is the joy of…
