In chapter one they ask, what is success? I believe success is keeping up good grades, living a happy life by maintaining a social life. Success is to be looked up to by many. Last but not least I believe success is to leave the world knowing you’ve made somebody’s life easier by your existence. They asked that question to many undergraduate students and some of the answers they gave were “Success is to get all A’s and B’s, being the first person in my family to earn a college degree, having a great social life…etc.” Those were only a few answers. Making the use of CBD oil legal in Wisconsin, but not available for use is not helping any of the suffering epileptic patients. Essentially, Wisconsin remains a non-medical marijuana state, even with the passage of the CBD-only…

For example, Charlotte Figi is a girl with very serious epilepsy. Weekly enduring hundreds of seizures made life truly miserable and torturous for Charlotte. She continued the severe seizures consistently despite the anti-seizure prescription drugs that her doctor suggested her to administer. However, Colorado, where she lives, legalized medical marijuana and she was able to obtain a certain marijuana strain that is high in cannabinol. Luckily, the marijuana put an end to her distress. Despite the positive outcomes of Charlotte and countless more, the legality of such medication still hangs in the balance. Although it is legal to have the marijuana, it is still considered a drug and is considered to have a high potential for abuse. This reason is one of the main issues standing in a nation-wide legalization. Although there are positive and negative effects from medical marijuana, it is clear that it does and will continue to have an effect on people personally, and as a society. (Devinsky)…

The benefits range from treating simple headache to slowing down cancer cells. Drugs sold over the counter are more dangerous than marijuana yet those drugs are approved and are sold. Donald Abrams, chief of hematology-oncology at San Francisco general hospital, has done more research on marijuana than anyone in the United States (Weil, 127). He concluded in his research that inhaling cannabis can help reduce pain associated with nerve damage and can also increase effect of opiate pain relievers as well help patients sleep. This is greatly important because of how tough nerve damage can be on a person. They are usually recommended to use over the counter pain relief pills but if marijuana is stronger in relieving pain as well as helping them sleep more calmly why would anyone decline. Another usage for marijuana is that the cannabinoids have an ability to relieve chronic pain which included nausea and vomiting from chemotherapy (Park). Cancer is something that troubles every human because currently the current treatments to battle it are very costly on the human body physically and mentally. Chemotherapy is so frightening that some people are even tempted not to try to that method. If they were told about marijuana,…
