Me and My Bestie. This essay was written on a personal experience level. We were to pick a conflict and look at all the possible outcomes.
I have been best friend with Amy for almost six years. The bond between the two of us is so deep at times it's scary. It even reached a point where I knew what she was thinking before she had a chance to say anything out loud. We were constantly together having a great time! Often people who met us together thought we were sisters and confused our names. In a weird sense we were sisters, minus the DNA connection. It's odd, things had been this way from the moment we met; yet somehow in the last six months everything has shifted. I'm at a turning point in my mind, should I give CPR to this dying friendship or cut my losses while I still can? This decision not only affects Amy, but our families and mutual friends as well. I have to decide which direction our friendship will go next.

We have seen each other almost every day for the last four years. The longest time we spent apart was a week. In the same sense, if we couldn't see each other we talked on the phone. When one of us found out or had something exciting /sad experience, we couldn't wait to share it with one another. I know everything there is to know about my best friend, but it's a little different when it comes to me. I have to be cautious about the amount information I tell Amy. She leans towards the judgmental side. I realize she has nothing to offer but good intentions, yet she tends to be overpowering and childish.

Amy and I may be alike in many ways via music, boys, and humor, but there are a few things that make us different. If I had to sum up our differences in one phrase, I would say: Amy has all the money I could ever need and I have all the motivation that she needs. I graduated high school a year early and moved out a week after my 17th birthday. Since then, I have worked a full time, dead end job that I manage to stretch in order to pay all of my bills. The only part of my life that I have received help with is my car. Everything else falls under my own responsibility. I'm paying for my own

Humans will always encounter conflict to the day we die and have had experienced what happens to society, when conflict develops. Conflict displays how ourselves’ experience changes and when we are striving to survive how we will influence other people to pursue the hope of surviving. An understanding of the nature of conflict is acquired through close study of the extraordinary story ‘The Rugmaker of Mazar-E-Sharif’ written by Najaf Mazari and Robert Hillman as well as the confronting story of ‘Persepolis’ created by Mariane Satrapi. These texts reveal that inner conflict can be catalyzed by conflict with the environment or others however an awareness of one’s strengths and weaknesses can arise as a result of encountering this type of conflict.…

Conflict is the true test of an individual’s internal strength and understanding, encountering conflict can evoke an individual to reassess their values, morals and beliefs’, staying true is the best way to deal with the animosity. It is through this that social order can deteriorate into conflict and anarchy with disturbing ease; it is a fear of difference and is not always easy to distinguish the innocent from the guilty in contesting situations. Conflict can be the struggle between the protagonists or antagonists against nature, contradictory emotions or opposing forces, manipulating an individual to fulfill the desire of one’s unmeasured flame. My best friend Leah Nepomuceno is one of the strongest people I know, especially when it comes to family. Family to her is everything and she has done all she can to try and keep hers together as a whole. We were in sixth grade swinging on the swings outside at recess, whispering and giggling about our usual gossip when she received news from one of our teachers that we knew was serious by the look on her face and fear in her voice. She came up to us and told her she needed to go the office and that she was being dismissed, she gave me permission to walk with her inside. On the short but long felt walk inside Leah's heart was pounding, her hands were sweating, and her eyes were slowly filling with tears. Her mom was sitting in the big, blue, leather office chair with many of our elementary school teachers huddled around her sharing their sincere heart felt sympathy and much needed support. Leah's mom, Deb, had found out that day that her husband Ron, Leah's dad, was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. The doctor had told Deb that is was going to slowly take away all of his muscles, eventually killing him and there was no cure for it. This news was heart wrenching for me to hear, since they were my second family, I grew up with them, Ron was my second dad. "It was like the last 11 years of memories with my dad flashed before my eyes and I didn't know what to do besides think of all the things we haven't done that we need to do before he dies," Leah replied when I asked her what her first thought was when she heard the news (Nepomuceno). Just talking to her now about it, 7 years later, is still just as heart breaking and you can hear the sadness in her voice.…

Ba bump. Ba bump. Ba bump. The heartbeat of a boy can be heard from outside his chest. He catches his breath while hiding, watchful, for any approaching enemy. His sword is held close to his chest, ready to take action at any time. He hears them; the soft footsteps along the stone floors of sweet Verona. A sword is drawn from its scabbard and the boy is waiting for the right time. All at once, he jumps out and stabs his opponent in the side, merely wounding him. The blood curdling scream comes next and that is when the action happens. Men from both sides come running and all one can hear is the scraping metal of sword against sword as a great battle begins. No one wishes for death but the with the hatred these two families possess for each…

For instance, some people might have a large group of friends during their freshman year in high school, yet when they get to their senior year they might end up having only one friend whom they can still tell their secret to or share their feelings to without…

I have the greatest group of friends or I should say two really good girl friends. Over the years my circle has gotten smaller, but that’s ok. I have learned it is not about how many friends I have, but the quality of the people that I spend my time with. In fact the Mayo Clinic states, “Quality counts more than quantity. While it's good to cultivate a diverse network of friends and acquaintances, you also want to nurture a few truly close friends who will be there for you through thick and thin”. My friends have walked with me through the best and the worst times of my life. We have seen each other through marriages, births and even deaths. This…
