The freedoms that we solely possess are the freedoms that God had bestowed upon us the moment we were born into this life. The freedom of speech and the freedom to choose between right and wrong, and to suffer the wrath if we choose wrongly. The first few words on this document say, “In the name of God, Amen.” The Pilgrims believed that covenants should not be only honored between man and God, but also between each other. The Mayflower Compact was signed by the true founders of our country, they honored God and lived solely by the words of the Bible. Separatists, Puritans , Pilgrims, Protestants etc. all came to America to escape the wrath of political leaders who denied them of there rights to practice their religion the way they chose.
