How Much Fat am I Actually Eating?

How Much Fat am I Actually Eating? Three of my favorite things to eat are Louisiana Purchase’s Red Beans and Rice, Nature Valley Granola Thins; Dark Chocolate and peanut Butter, and Louisiana Hot Sauce. I know that every prepackaged food has the nutritional information listed on the back to give us all an idea of our calorie, protein, fat grams, and so forth. What we are not actually seeing with our prepackaged foods is the truth about what we are putting into our bodies, the truth about the actual calories, protein, and fat. Here in this paper I intend to try and figure out the aspect of the truth behind some of the foods I love to eat. Louisiana Purchase’s Red Beans and Rice: Calories: 190, Protein: 7grams, and fat: 2 grams. In order to find out how much protein my math and equation would be based on this: There are 4 grams of calories per each gram of protein so I am going to multiply like this 4*7= 28, which means for every gram of protein I am consuming 28 calories. This is amazing because I never knew this. Nature Valley Granola Thins: Calories: 80, Fat: 4 grams, and protein 1 gram. In order to find out the calories per protein I am going again to multiply; 4* 1=4. The reason the answer is 4 is because there is only one gram of protein and only one serving. Louisiana Hot Sauce; Calories: 0, Fat: 0, Protein: 0. obviously our answer here is 0 calories per serving of protein since all nutritional values are 0. It seems that the most protein that I consume comes from the Red Beans and Rice, this food is supplying me 7 grams of protein per serving and I only usually eat one serving so I am only consuming 28 calories every time I eat this, Nature Valley thins are only giving me four calories per pouch but very few protein benefits since there is only four

Cutlets from control lot were significantly different in all the proximate values from cutlets fortified with flours (RFC, JFC and OFC). There was no significant difference found in any of the proximate values between the cutlets from RFC, JFC and OFC lots. Cutlets with added fibre showed low protein and fat content than the cutlets without fibre addition. Low protein and fat content in the cutlets enriched with flour is attributed to the replacement of meat by flours in formulations. The results found in this study are well in agreement with the previous reports. Verma et al. (2013) during their studies on chicken nuggets reported that nuggets with added chickpea flour had significantly lower (p< 0.05). Dietary fiber generally has a high water-holding capacity. By hydrating a fiber, the water occupies the fiber pores and increases cooking yields, possibly reducing the caloric contents of meat products (Kim and Paik, 2012). During their studies on low fat chicken nuggets Santhi and Kalaikannan (2014) found that the increased oat flour levels resulted in a significant increase in moisture, crude fibre and gross…
