Martin Luther King's Disappearance
I choose the quote “Weak people get revenge. Strong people forgive. Intelligent people ignore,” because it has influenced me greatly, especially in my everyday life. My mom grew up going to a newly unsegregated school and she taught me to always show others respect, no matter what. I think that the quote gives a great example to those that are struggling with different types of discrimination or bigotry. I think that the strongest people are capable of ignoring those that cause hate and discontent.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929. He was heavily influenced by his family members, as they all had large parts in the Baptist Church. After becoming a preacher, he started to take a larger role in the civil-rights movement.
