Candidate Dorney displayed a great amount of confidence throughout the entire evolution. He started off by getting accountability of his fire team. He spoke clearly and made constant eye contact with each member of his fire team as he briefed the five paragraph order. SNC requested a situation report from each fire team member. He stressed that time was of the essence. SNC gave the fire team specifics on how they would execute. He kept constant communication with the security and made sure there was no site of the enemy. The motion picture we are applying or using is Pixar's "Finding Nemo". Our hero would be Marlin, the timid clownfish who lives safe and secluded in the colorful and warm tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef. After the devastating, life changing event when starting a family, specifically when a hostile fish devoured his wife and all his unborn kids, Marlin had been a cowardly, cautious individual who lacks socialism and simply "can't tell a joke". He limits, rescues, protects and controls Nemo, and expectations are low for Nemo's ability, due to his disability. He is somber, worried and agitated about every detail in Nemo's life. In fact, Marlin's life completely revolves around Nemo's life. Also, Marlin can't acknowledge or admit that he has any problems. Following Joseph Campbell's steps, Marlin eventually becomes an epic hero by following the epic hero journey and relinquishes his flaws. My choice for this topic is a bit different than the other choices I have seen so far; I chose Finding Nemo. The movie finding Nemo is about a father fish, Marlin, whose son was trying to be brave on a school trip by swimming out further than everyone else and he got captured by fisherman. At The beginning of the story, Marlin’s wife, Nemo’s mother, is killed and Marlin vows to always take care of Nemo. This “promise” leads him to be overbearing and very protective of his son. The story begins with Gordy the goldfish playing at the beach with his owner. It explains how Gordy lived a great life and didn’t have any worries. “He ate, slept, swam, and did twirls in the water any time his humans approached to feed him. He never wanted for anything, especially food. Food was abundant and he was prosperous. Life was good.” Everything changed when a big wave came onto the beach and carried Gordy out to sea. He was frightened and panicked, wondering who would feed him now. Not knowing how to gather food for himself, Gordy was nearly starved when he met Sammy the shark who decided he would teach Gordy how to act like a shark and get food for himself. Marlin has to travel through dangerous waters filled with hungry sharks, electrifying jellyfish, vicious seagulls, and other threats. Although Marlin tends to lose hope sometimes, he continues to search for Nemo through the span of the whole journey. Additionally, Marlin tries to support Dory and her memory problem. Dory is fish with a short term memory problem and she is constantly forgetting things like people that she has just met. While on the journey to find Nemo, Dory finally remembers something on her first try. These is a huge milestone in Dory’s life and Marlin supports her all the way. Although Malrin can come off as aggressive and stressed, all he really cares about is his son’s safety and keeping his friends safe as well. Although Marlin is outcasted for being overprotective, he does not change his ways and continues to care for his son. Marlin shows a collection of character education.
