Marking Experience Essay
From having a lot of friends to no friends was one of the most shocking thing ever happened to me. Starting the marking period two in the Academic Bridge Program was really stressful for me because it was the real start of studying hard than marking period one as the teachers were giving us the easy as a piece of cake work. The last two weeks in the marking period two, I was going through a lot, by a lot I mean studying for the ACT test and the ABP tests while people who disliked me were spreading rumors about me that I have anger issues and that I am not a trustfully person.

It all started when I was really tired and I left the group of friends that I was hanging out with in my break without saying a word. They felt that I was angry because they made jokes that were about me but the real deal was that I going through stress from all the work I had to do and I left them so I can take a 15 minutes’ nap before the class start. As they were being nice friends, they asked me million times if I got mad about what said about me, and the thing is I do not even they what they said so I did not care because there was more imported thing to care about and

There was only one day from the marking period two that I felt so fresh that everything would turn out good but it did not. I was laughing with my friends and having a good time until a guy who does not even know me that well came starting making jokes as saying “how are you angry from this girl and you talking to her normal?” As I replied with “I never been mad at anyone, and I am really a chill person who does not like to start some drama.” He laughed and everybody did. It felt like he controlled them, like if he did not laugh it would not be funny. Then other guy said “you are the drama queen in the group with anger issue.” Now I knew what I had to

How could people be so bad! Argh! Why do I get all the problems? Why me? Those guys made fun of me for no reason. I was trying hard enough. I was feeling so bad about it that wasted my evening thinking all over things that happened by the pool. Well actually I have been attending the Recreation Centre these days. I go there every evening for swimming. Not that I can’t swim but I can’t do some of the swimming styles. And learning these styles had become so frustrating that I would feel mentally exhausted. Oh! The reason of my frustration. Well……

The worst words to hear when friends are fighting are “who said it” or “name names”. I was in a problematic situation a couple of weeks ago and I was asked that question and instead of naming names I lied and took the blame. The whole fight started because when I was hanging out with my two friends while waiting for my other two friends to come and meet us. My one friend said that one of the girls had a “big mouth and that you couldn’t trust her with any personal details”. When she found out she went on this long rant about how we were all fake and that we were terrible friends but that wasn’t the case she did not know all the details. She came and tried to ask me who had said it and why they said it; at this point none of us were talking to each other but we were all supposed to be best friends. So I told her that it was me because I thought it would stop all the fighting if someone finally admitted to it. I was wrong the fighting got worse and once the two guys found out that I took the blame for one of them they started talking to me but the other two girls refused to talk to me. A couple of days went by and finally the person who had actually said it felt bad for me and told the truth. Eventually everybody came around and we were all cool again but even now it is almost awkward when we are all together. I think these are the worst kind of fights that friends can…

All throughout school I strived to be a great student, always trying my best and never giving up. I didn’t really have any life changing moments that shaped me into who I am today that is, until freshman year. That year everything changed for me I was faced with challenges I never had to face before. My brother and I are three in a half years apart and he went to Horizon High School for his freshman and sophomore year. He was a troublemaker to say the least didn’t have the best reputation so all the teachers there thought that I was just like him. When I started there no one really knew my name and then once they saw my last name they started to be rude to me and say rude things to me. Even when I did good on work I still got a bad grade just because the…

I was about to start a new school in september. I had two months. My parents made me go to the psychiatrist to talk about "my problem". So I went and told you about Beca. you told me to keep a journal to cope with my anger. I told you that I was only angry once so I there is no need for that but all I achieved was you talking another 30 minutes about something I really didn't care about. Something about me hiding my emotions and bottling them. So I promised to keep a journal. Just so I could leave. But then you also made me promise that I would show it to you when we meet again. So I…

Summer went bye like it wasn't even there and by the time school started I was very depressed. The new school I was going to was Naperville North High School which was about ten times the size of my old school in Pennsylvania in size and in the number of students. In my school in Pennsylvania there were about twelve students in each class, here the number runs around thirty two. The school building was so big I had a lot of trouble getting to class on time let alone finding them in the building. The school wasn't what I was bothered by the most because it was the fact that I didn't have any social life and I was a social person. There were a lot of different groups of people at my new high school, it was tough for me to fit in and meet new people. Everyone just knew me as the new kid and didn't even bother to find out what my real name was. The first month of being the new kid is a very hard month of school. I knew no one who I had anything in common with and began to get terrible grades in…

The first few days of junior high wasn’t great. I had no friends and had no intentions on trying to get any. But on the 4th day of school, I was actually getting pretty bored of the no friend thing and decided to hit up with these 2 girls in my gym class. And from there I started being excited of this new school for new beginnings, but there was still anxiety flowing through my…

For me, it all started on the first week of September. All I saw was these big guys playing basketball and soccer and I was wondering whether or not I will be able to fit in. Everyone else was eagerly waiting for the first school bell to ring after like 3 months of summer while I was just standing there looking everywhere as if I was lost. Eventually, all of these started to change as I started to know people better. Thing was, they weren’t as furious or mean as I thought they might be. In the beginning of the school year, I used to nervously switch classes without actually knowing where to go, but now I am familiar with this school like all the others. I managed to develop many new skills and stuff during grade 7. Before I knew it, it was June, grade 7 ended, and to my…

I do not know why I was an emotional wreck since this was not my first time being the new kid. I walked into Mrs. Jenkins’s class, and I could just feel the noise getting sucked into the air. It is dead silent, and every student is staring as if I was some alien. Not even five minutes in and I already felt so uncomfortable. Later, recess came, and almost half of my peers came running towards me, throwing random questions at my face. I felt so overwhelmed that I would just stare at them and not say a single word.…

It was the craziest out of all of them. This was the year that we had a new girl come to school, her name was Kirsten. It was the fourth day of school and she was doing fine, then everyone started to hate her, and then would be really mean. She seemed to be cool, I don't know why people didn't like her. Me and my best friend were called into the office and asked to be friends with her, and tell them what the other people are doing her, like being mean or talking bad about her. The experience was the worst at first because if you're friends with her you were cool or talk to. That was hard for me because I have a lot of friends at St. Peters, and I didn't want to not be their friend, but now that I think about it they weren't real friends. So I made the choice to be friends with her and not listen to everyone…

I decided I needed to make a change. My classes were filled with students who I never talked to, because we were stuck in certain groups in middle school. I branched out and began talking to new people and met a girl who seemed to have similar interests as me. Every class we would talk and we decided to walk to our lockers together in the morning. This would be a change, because I always walked with my other friend to our lockers. The next morning, I met up with my new friend, Jen. Jen and I walked to our lockers together and I heard hushed talking behind us. The voice came from my old friend who was telling someone about me. She now turned the tables and gossiped about me and how I was mean for ignoring her. This shocked me and I knew then and there that I had to drop her as a…

When, I was a new to this campus. I was shy and had self-esteem and turned away from seemingly impossible challenges both personal and academically. The first year experience was the home sickness, which makes me into depression and the most struggling part is to grasp teaching style, makes me more difficult to understand the each teacher’s style which is totally different from my old teacher’s style. Later slowly I got into it and in between I meet the people from different backgrounds and culture that changes the way of values and style and started living with them, enjoying with them in my own ways with lots of new people and this was something which never experience before and I feel more independent than I ever have before, no longer worry about coming late going out.…
