Marilyn Manson
The things that make Marilyn Manson unique are his style and his music. His style is really creepy while his music is hardcore, profound, and controversial. The most memorable moments in
Manson's life are when his songs became big hits, and he has also been in several movies and shows.
Also, Manson had shifted his focus from music to art for a period of time. The life experiences of Marilyn Manson are demonstrated in his songs: “15”, “Better of Two Evils”, and “WoW”. Marilyn Manson, originally named Brian Warner, was born on January 5, 1969. He grew up in Canton, Ohio. He was the only child of Barbara Warner and Hugh Warner. Marilyn Manson had a very troubled childhood. He grew up spending most of his time at his grandparents house, and he was enrolled in a very strict Catholic school. When Manson was a child he got molested by his neighbor. When Manson reported him, the neighbor was sent to military school, and later killed Manson's dog in vengeance. Manson once found a fetus in a coffee jar in a lot across the street from where he lived. Manson attended Heritage Christian School from first to tenth grade. However, the fear instilled there in a sensitive youth by certain “educators” was a strong influence in shaping his later attitudes and behavior. The more they terrorized him about what to avoid in life or be forever damned, and how to conform to their extreme version of Christian doctrine, the more he was attracted to expressing his individuality and seeking out the taboos they had identified. He joined a new school in Canton, GlenOak High, graduating in 1987, then moved with his family to Florida. There he studied Journalism and Theater at Broward Community College. While at college, Manson was Assistant Entertainment Editor for Broward's student paper, The Observer. After college, he successfully applied to be a Staff Writer at Fort Lauderdale's 25th Parallel Magazine, later advancing to Associate Editor, while forming the band Marilyn Manson And

The year was 1969, and in early August seven people were brutally murdered; words like “Pig,” “Healter Skelter” and “Rise” were found printed in blood at the crime scenes. Eventually it is discovered that the perpetrators of these horrific crimes are cult members living on the outskirts of society, led by a man named Charles Manson. But who is Charles Manson? Charles Manson is a monster, certainly, but as a monster he offers us a unique look into the human mind. This semester we have learned about the many different types of people who may engage in individual forms of interpersonal violence. Charles Manson however, provides us the case study of a man whose life revolved around interpersonal violence in all its manifestations. There was nothing this man wouldn’t do to reach his goals – he would rape, murder, manipulate, and lie - all in the name of his personal ambitions. In Vincent Bugliosi’s book, Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders, the reader is provided a thorough explanation of how Manson developed his criminal lifestyle though the focus is on the famous murders he helped to commit as the leader of The Family and the process used to convict him. After a brief comment about the book as a whole and its writing style and content, Manson’s connections to the subject of interpersonal violence will be examined. These connections include the subjects of child neglect, rape, domestic violence, and spiritual abuse.…

Charles Manson was born on November 12, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Manson’s mother was sixteen years old when she gave birth to him. His birth name was Charles Milles Maddox, but was later changed to match his stepfather’s last name name, William Manson. Charles Manson grew up in a very unstable home. His mother was in jail for armed robbery during most of his childhood, so Manson was shifted among family members, foster homes, and eventually reformatories for many years (Baughman). He was raised by his mother, Kathleen Maddox, when she was out of jail, but he never had a relationship with his father. Manson’s mother was very unreliable. In exchange for a pitcher of beer, his mother once traded off her young son to a woman who desperately wanted to have a child. Manson was returned later to his mother after his uncle went off searching for the woman, so he could get his nephew back (“Manson Family Murders”). Manson’s tough, unstable home life may have been what started all his crimes to come.…
