Maren's Room: A Narrative Fiction
Light shines into the room, Maren resists the urge to shut off her blaring alarm clock. She pauses, her room was silent; it was as if she never set her clock the night before. The brunette scoffs, even when she’s dead tired, she still manages to slide up on 6:45 anyway.

Noting the stack of textbooks on a shelf, being stuck with a primal being wasn't the case.

From the corner of her eye, she spots her Burgundy backpack near the mess of pencils. She inches up to her backpack and right as she’s about to snag it, a gargantuan metal object lands about a foot away from her. Fast as lightning, Maren grabs her bag and rushes to duck behind a picture frame. She clutches the bag in her arms, trying to conjure up a plan to get her out of this bizarro

They had to be careful when footing because they could not even see their hands as it was so dark, taking each step with care otherwise it could be their last. The rain pummeled them against the cliff face, it made the journey even worse as they were fleeing from the Black Sould. Not even five foot from them, lightning struck the ground leaving a black patch of ash from where it disintegrated the surrounding brush, thunder split the atmosphere in two causing the unsteady rocks above to lose balance and come crashing down narrowly missing the two. Once the rocks had passed Dabbley gazed upon the mountains searching for any other loose debris, but before Dabbley could react a small stone hit him in the face forcing him to lose control of his footing, slipping on the moss coated stone. Before he could even comprehend what happened he was plummeting to his death. In a split second Ishka reached out for his hand clamping onto his arm lifting him from certain death. Juddering, struggling to lift her companion from death, she swings him from left to right until finally he is able to pull himself up. Asher winces and goes off to find the cat who despises him, and anyone but Christopher. He eventually finds her, under Adams bed. He goes to grab her and his hand is bitten. He holds in a scream and holds his hand, checking it and sees a little bit of blood but not much. He sighs and tries again, this time successfully grabbing Lucy and walks into the bathroom across the hall, checks the time “its only three o’five,” he says to himself quietly, then dumps Lucy on the floor and quickly slams the door. Asher slowly starts to run the water until it is full enough, and Lucy looks over the edge of the tub, curious. Asher takes the chance and pushes her forwards, holding her into the water until about twenty minutes pass and she calms down a little, though still growling. Asher sighs and starts to slowly scrub her until she is clean, getting a bite from Lucy now and then. When he is finished, he wraps her in a towel and takes her into his stepfather’s room, putting her in her pet castle. He looks at the time and notices that it is already four. Asher runs up the stairs that lead up to his room and see that there are an arrangement of fabrics on his…
