Dear Lafredra,
The article I read was titled “Managing Stress”. The author name was Jacky Steemson. The article was sourced from RoSpa Occupational Safety & Health Journal-Jun2013, Vol.43 Issue 6 P9-11. The author main points are job stress, stress management, and adaptability.

I chose this article because it is relevant to my field of study which is Business Administration and also other studies. It raises an issue with me because stress comes in many forms. I want to inform people on how to comprehend, manage, and respond positively to stress and apply it to their life and goals. I know stress can be positive and negative. Positive stress gives me that extra bust of adrenaline to help me accomplish my goals. I know when it is negative stress because I have a lack of concentration of the things I need to do. I also know that I’m in control of my life and the foundation of stress management.
Stress management is an important skill that everyone needs in order to improve themselves as problem solvers and to be more in control of their lives. Everyone suffers from stress on some level and no one is immune to it. I do not let stress stop me from achieving my wants in life. I also know that managing stress is all about taking charge of my thoughts, emotions, schedule, and the way I deal with my problems.
It is important that I learn how to reduce stress. For example, I can read a book, work on a hobby, exercise take a walk I think that this is the easiest and more effective means of reducing stress. I need to look for areas of agreement and disagreement and look for options to resolve the conflict in a win/win solution. Oh yeah and I also love to laugh believe me it also helps when trying to reduce stress. It is important to take care of problems that come up in life. Be prepared to make good decisions and think about the

To have good stress management skills means to be able to adjust well to change in the environment around you. Everyone experiences a certain degree of stress on a daily basis. It can be small or big but not all stress is harmful. There are two kinds of stress, harmful and not so harmful. Surprisingly enough a small amount of stress is essential to a person’s well-being because it raises your energy and makes you more alert. I’m usually really good with dealing with stress. When I’m put in a stressful situation I’m usually the one that remains calm and thinks on what action to take instead of freaking out and freezing up. When it sometimes is too much to handle by just simply stopping and taking a couple of deep breaths can do the trick. For example, right now I have allot going on in my personal life but I’m trying to keep cool and calm to be able to do my school work because if I didn’t get those issues out of my head I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on my goals in life. By being able to control my stress now will come in handy once I start working in the medical field because it would allow me to deal with patients and for me not to stress out when I’m out of work. Also by knowing how to handle stress can avoid future issues with patients. It can be that maybe one day you’re stressed out n then just release your stress on a patient. Time management can help with stress as well.…
