Preface
This report is submitted as a part of group project, undertaken for the partial fulfilment of course requirements of MANAGING ORGANIZATIONS. The report contains a study of the organization “THOUGHTWORKS” – an IT software and consultancy firm. The report discusses the various aspects of the firm, which relates to the course syllabus. We have discussed the various factors in the external environment which affects the firm, organizational strategy and structure, its evolution, innovation and culture prevalent in the company and analysed it to the best of our understanding. We would like to thank Mr. Aakash Agarwal, Head, Professional Services and Mr. Rajiv Mathew, Manager, Human Resource of ThoughtWorks, Bangalore, for their time and indispensable inputs on this project. We would also like to thank Prof. Sourav Mukherji, for his guidance during the course of the projects. We hope we have been able to encapsulate the essence of the subject as taught during the term fruitfully, in this project.
