Public presentation is an art of being able to stand in front of an audience and being able to deliver information on a particular topic. Public speaking is a specific field as on one hand it causes fear and anxiety among a great number of population, and it can also bring great emotional satisfaction to those who master it on the other hand. So it's hard for most, but can bring fulfilment for those who are willing to do the work of learning it. Wikipedia says: “Presentation is the practice of showing and explaining the content of a topic to an audience or learner". In other words a presentation is a speech that may or may not use some kind of visual aids. That also means that the basis of a presentation does not by default have to be PowerPoint or similar devices. Said in other words again; whenever you stand in front of one person or thousands of people and present your idea you are delivering a speech and a presentation. Public speaking also explores some benefits of becoming familiar with the art of presentation in greater details and these are that it will improve on how human resource personnel does his or her job. A huge number of jobs these days involve giving presentations. Even if it is not a core element of our role, we are likely to be called on from time to time to present the findings of a report we have done or pass on our expertise in the form of a training session. Practicing and improving one’s presentation skills will help them to be more effective and take these occasions in their stride.
