i) What are we going to be if we colabarate with Jawbone:-
Limited liability partnership

Why?
Because we are building a partnership with a company in which both parties have limited liabilities. It therefore exhibits elements of partnerships and corporations. In an LLP, one partner is not responsible or liable for another partner's misconduct or negligence. All partners have a form of limited liabilitysimilar to that of the shareholders of a corporation.

A partnership is an arrangement in which parties agree to cooperate to advance their mutual interests. In the most frequently associated instance of the term, a partnership is formed between one or more businesses in which partners (owners) co-labor to achieve and share profits and losses.

Patents of competitors.

Jawbone consumed Body Media(one of the competitors) due to patents. They bought them for $110mil so that they are able to absorb their technology and also their patents (copyrights). There are 23 patents body media owned as their own.

Basically the aim of discovering this patents of competitors is that we are able to learn what can be absorb in our technology and what are we not to take. ( Just a reminder )

Jawbone has 1365 patents.

A patent is a set of exclusive rights granted by a sovereign state to an inventor or their assignee for a limited period of time, in exchange for the public disclosure of the invention. An invention is a solution to a specific technological problem, and may be a product or a process.
