When I was a kid life was so much fun but still all I wanted was to be an adult. I was always fascinated by all the great and interesting things that adults were able to do. Every year that passed I was grew more excited because I was getting closer to being an adult. Now that I am an adult I wish I could be a kid again. Its quite amazing how fast your opinion can change. All the activities that I can do now do not compare to even one day as being a child. On the other hand I still enjoy being an adult and I still have a lot to experience. My life as a child and as an adult is vastly different but still is similar in small ways. When I was a child I was allowed to do basically anything that I wanted to do. I would go outside, play with my friends and play sports all day long. Being a child was fun and had many positive sides to it. As a child I never had to worry about having to work or if I had a test the next day. Life was fairly stress free. All I had to worry about was what time my favorite cartoons were going to be on Saturday morning or what my friends down the road were doing. On Saturdays I would wake up bright and early and sit in the living room in front of the television or go outside to meet my friends for a game of tag. As I would be sitting around the house, all I could smell was my mother cooking breakfast. It was nice to have someone cook for you, and not have to worry about feeding yourself. As a child I did not have to worry about money. There was no need to, all the money I needed was to buy some candy or a favorite movie or CD. Every week I would receive an allowance which was ten dollars that I was allowed to do anything I pleased with. I thought this was a lot of money when I was young. When you're a child there never is a thought of having to save up in order to purchase something you really want. Childhood does come with its great moments but it's not as fun as it sounds. Being a child, you do not obtain all the freedom that you may

I feel that friends have become more reliable and less flakey. I have enjoyed everything I’ve learned over time from family, friends, teachers and mentors. I also really like that boys are becoming men and not toying with my heart as much, but obviously I know they still have some growing up to do. I don’t like some of the new responsibilities that come with aging. I definitely took for granted everything I was given when living at home, like free food, clothes, gas, toothpaste and all the other little necessities. I also wish I could rewind time and enjoy school while it was easy. I also don’t like the loss of creativity and imagination of growing up. My mind used to run wild and everything I did, I did because I wanted to do it, I was never afraid of what others thought about me in the process. Now I’m sad that I care so much about what people think, instead of just doing the things that make me happy with no thought behind…

I was a positive outcome of a failed relationship, which almost felt like living two different lives. Similar to the different lives people live at school/work and the ones lived at home. These two lives were completely distant from each other, both literally and figuratively. The divorce led my mother to flee home; one of the utmost diverse and populated cities in America the great city of Chicago. Into the arms of a man I happen to call step-dad who lives in one of…

I always liked to explore and test my limits. In an attempt to allow me to explore, my parents made sure that my environment was safe. Instead of running around saying "no" every time I touched something that could harm me, they put dangerous objects out of my reach and lots of safe, fun stuff within it. This gave me a little more independence, and my parents some added peace of mind.…

When people are young, they are always told, “your childhood years are some of the best years of your life so enjoy them while you can.” Children typically spend their hours watching interactive shows and playing with toy, yet I have a very hazy memory of doing those things. Coming from a deprived, immigrant family did not permit me to have this joyful childhood experience, but instead led me to grow up faster than customary and shaped me into the person I am today.…

Now, as adult, I look forward to my next move in life. Each new town or city I live in has its own special place. I do not get sad anymore leaving one house to move into another. I look forward to the change of environment and look forward to the new opportunities to learn about the area, including the people, culture and new foods. As a mom, I make each new move an adventure for our girls. I remember that feeling of losing something. In actuality, I was gaining. I want to make sure they see it that way, too. Life is an adventure, it should not be…

Growing up there were always children in and out of my household. Everytime I turn around my parents were always watching someone’s kid. I was never alone, there was always someone to play with, talk too, or even fight with. My parents loved helping raise and take care of children so the older I got the more it rubbed off on me. When I was old enough they gave me the responsibility to babysit my cousins and children of family friends. I grew up in a big family so there were always children around in need of a babysitter.…

I began to ponder.…

The younger me loved to be active and constantly moving around but as i grew up I started to enjoy times that were quiet as well. The few activites i liked to do and still do now is play soccer, go bowling, read, and going for bike rides. As a little kid and teenager, my cousins and I use to do a bowling day which was very intense since we are all competitive. I never and still don`t ever win because I suck at bowling but it's always a fun day seeing some of my cousins for some friendly composition and to see who will hold bragging rights. Also, when i was a kid my mom and I use to go for bike rides on the trail into erin to get ice cream from baileys ice cream shop. I it was always worse biking back rather than there because I always thought about the ice cream but on the way back there was no ice cream to look forward to.…

The reason the kids of all ages love money is because if they have their own money instead of always asking their parents, they can buy things they want or need, and this is the second reason why kids should get paid for their grades. Very often kids want to get things, but their parents think they don’t need them. In case of having their own money, kids will get a little independence in making decision what is important and what's not for them. They will have ability to be in charge of their own budget.…
