Macbeth's Mind Analysis

The Wandering Mind of Macbeth Throughout the play the audience may have blamed the witches or Lady Macbeth for Macbeth’s eventual passing, but people overlook the fact that it was Macbeth who chose to do the crimes. The play Macbeth, written by William Shakespeare, shows the life of Macbeth, with him becoming king by doing the worst crime of the land. Macbeth murders his best friend, Macduff’s family and also damages Macduff’s castle. All of these actions that Macbeth commits results to high treason, leading to his death. Macbeth’s death was brought onto himself with the help of the witches when they tell him that he has the chance of becoming king. Macbeth changed his mind so that he commits these crimes, on his own. After the first meeting with the weird sisters and Banquo the witches never show up again. When Macbeth goes to talk with them again, he breaks out of his daze leading him to look crazy when talking with Lennox. When Lennox walks into the room, Macbeth says, “Saw you the weird sisters?” Lennox replies with “No, my lord.” Macbeth tries to reassure him by asking him again, “Came they not by you?” (4.1.135-138). Lennox again after says no to his question. This proves that the witches to Macbeth were apart of his imagination. They were never there when he met them again. With Lennox saying that he never saw them, Macbeth is using the witches as a reason to be defenceful about himself and kill Macduff's family. Also with Lady Macbeth being looked over by the Doctor for troubling sleeping pattern and sleep walking, she couldn't of told Macbeth to destroy Macduff’s castle. Without the relationship that Macbeth and Lady Macbeth had with each other Macbeth wouldn't have thought of the idea of becoming king. All of these actions lead to his own death. All of these crimes that Macbeth has committed, has had no connections towards the witches or Lady Macbeth other than the witches telling him that he could become king. The first initial thought of it all happening was told by the witches, but the witches never said to kill the king. People are accountable for their own actions. With Macbeth killing the king it was his fault for doing it. Also with him killing the king makes the rest of the land go into chaos. It throws the chain of being off track and the only way to bring it back is to kill the one who took it off,
