We, ZENDOKAI don't think MMA as a simple mixture of lots of martial arts. We consider it the most natural style of martial arts that should essentially be. That means that MMA, Mixed Martial Arts is not “Mixed” martial arts, but rather one fundamental art of fighting. To acquire the art, we regard our KIHON and IDO KEIKO, Breathing techniques, and Streching exercises as the important trainings. These trainings help you build up your body balance. The good body balance is an essential point when you shift your weight back and forth and around. The base of these trainings is the mindfulness of your body’s center of gravity, which is the basis to strengthen the power of the techniques you deliver. Without this base, even if you gathered up miscellaneous skills, you wouldn't master them except only a few people who have the inherent ability in sports or the talented excellent reflexes. …show more content…
In a match, you will test the techniques you learned to realize how well you master them. You should know a Japanese word 試合 SHIAI, equivalent of a match, originally means an action in order to test something you and your opponent learned to each other. After the match, you will review the moves you took and the techniques you used in the match. And you will get back to KEIKO, trainings, improving your skills by making the best of your review. This cycle makes the base firmer and firmer. Continuing with the cycle, you can open the road to a master of MMA even among beginners who are unsure of physical strength.     Even though wrestling was hard I loved it in high school. Practice in high school would start with running a trail. A trail consists of running in a circle around the three mats doing different activities to get warmed up. Pushups, sit-ups, stance, and buddy carries are a few things we would do during a trail. From there we would split up in two groups. Group one was small guys from one hundred and forty pounds to one hundred and three. This is the group I was in. We would go out to the track and do a number or things. Running sprints or Indian run with a ten pound medicine ball were the most common. We also did stations. For example running, sit-ups, and jumping rope would be a few. Group two would stay in the room and do three stations. The first station we would work on break downs to flatten out an opponent. Next we would work on a certain take down or throw. The final station we would do an abdominal work out, climb rope, do pull-ups, and pushups. From there we would go into drilling.
