love or money
Love and money, both of them are important for us, which is unquestioned. In the modern society, how shall we support our life without money. We can’t live without money. We can’t say anything of the higher pursuing without our basic needs is satisfied. So, money is important, money is necessary. And what does love do? Well, pure love can’t be obtained by money. It is affection, and the real affection is not in control of our body or brain. It seems to appear in nature. Love can’t be expressed by words but by hearts and action.

When the two are in contradiction, which one shall we choose? I think that the young who are in love with each other will fight for each other. They will work hard so they will get money to live a good life one day. But can we get love if we choose money? I don’t think so. Maybe we can have a rich and comfortable life. But the heart is empty. You can’t share the happiness with the one whose soul is connected with yours. Without love, we’re not living actually, just surviving.

I feel very sorry about current situation that most of us put money to the first place rather than love, friendship and other things. Though without money nothing can be done, I still insist that love is all the matters. We may get the things that we interested in after hard working, but we would never get the true love from the one who don’t love you. Love can bring you lots of things including money. But money can’t buy true love. So in this case, love is more previous than money.

Robert Warne Wilson (1926 – 2013), an American hedge fund manager, who owned 60 billions dollars, decided to end his life by leaping from the 16th floor of his apartment. He divorced and had no children. He did have lots of money, was he happy? Many cases like this told us that money is not everything.

Many moving stories also told us that love can create miracles. Owning true love, we will fight for each other. We can make money to provide each other a good life. We feel nothing is impossible. Maybe you will say that’s just a story and that’s not true. But how did it come out? Wasn’t it created by the wonderful imagination of human? And why can these stories be well-known? Because we choose to believe it, choose to believe in love. We desire to love and being loved deeply in our hearts.

Everyone of us has only one chance to live in the world. We bear without anything and die without anything either. The only thing we can take is our feelings, our memories, our love. So our wealth is true love, and nothing is more important than it

For these reasons, I think when I am making a decision between love and money, I’ll let love come first.

Morrie shows this by saying, “Money is not a substitute for tenderness and power is not a substitute for tenderness. I can tell you… neither money nor power will give you the feeling you’re looking for…” (Albom 152). Every person needs tenderness and love everyone does not need money or power. “Love, what is love? I don't think you can really put it into words. Love is understanding someone, caring for him, sharing his joys and sorrows. This eventually includes physical love. You've shared something, given something away and received something in return, whether or not you're married, whether or not you have a baby. Losing your virtue doesn't matter, as long as you know that for as long as you live you'll have someone at your side who understands you, and who doesn't have to be shared with anyone else!”…

Marketers constantly push for us to believe that living a self-centered life will bring us success and everything essential to living a happy life. Sadly, life requires nothing but the opposite. Although money does make life easier, it certainly does not make it any better. In most cases the opposite is true. Money can be compared to a pop star’s latest hit; it is great for a while and can keep us entertained. After a short period of time, though, it becomes terribly old and we find ourselves searching for a new way to sustain happiness. It is believed by many that money makes a man intelligent and wise. Contradicting this, dedicated study and hard work are mandatory to be successfully wise. Society also loves to portray marriage made easy through the possession of money. We all have learned from our grandparents the only way to a successful marriage is unconditional love, trust, and support for our significant other.…

Love Is Not All, or Is It?

Love isn’t everything, it’s not food, beverages, sleep and it sure won’t act as a roof against the rain. Love cannot offer a sinking man in peril a life-saving “floating spar”. As he rises, he sinks, only to rise and sink again. Love cannot give the air we need to fill our “thickened lung”, it can not clean blood or heal broken bones. Yet for all the things love can’t do, a man without love is a man “making friends with death”. The lack of love alone in a difficult hour will pin you down by pain, whine for release or harass you by the power of past resolution’s. One might be driven to sell love for peace, trade their memories for a meal, but never give up love even if it was to release horrible pains or to get food to live.…

“Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has, the more one wants,” quoted by Benjamin Franklin. Money can’t buy happiness because materials are short lived, human connection is more important, and wealth undermines people’s ability to savor positive events from the sheer abundance. Money will accumulate, but it is easy to chase more and more until you realize you’re not actually living.…
