Love One Another
We know that as Christians we are to love God, to love our fellow believers and to love those that don't know Jesus yet. We are to love them the same way that Jesus loves us, which as you know is with unconditional love. So in other words we are to be people who think of others and not only of ourselves. At times this is not an easy thing to do. We are prone to being self consumed with our own lives, problems and needs. However God is calling us to take upon ourselves some of the problems and needs of other people. Actually if the truth be known, when we do this it really is the key to a better and happier life.
It was during my last high school Christmas party when I experienced what loving one another really means. I was very prepared for that day not knowing that some of my friends were affected by the storm last night and everybody was supposed to be happy excited and hopeful but even though we were not able to celebrate our Christmas party I was able to experience how to love my fellow men in Cagayan de Oro City and instead of celebrating a party on our own we donated everything that was supposed to be our preparations for the party. We donated our food, the gifts, clothes to the victims of the flood Sendong in macasandig Cagayan de Oro City.
Saturday two weeks after the flood we volunteered to help in repacking the clothes that we need to distribute to the victims of Sendong. We need to repack donations from different provinces in the Philippines and we were able to repack at least 500 sacks for the infants, adults and the teens, alike. At first I felt awful but then I thought of what I was doing would be for the sake of my fellow men and that I should be thankful that GOD spared me and my family form the flood Sendong and that I should help them to recover from what happened.

Since the experience is still vivid from the visions among the cagay-anons about the tragedy of Sendong, the acts behind the disaster still remain and remembered among the

All the good moments that I once had with my beloved ones have a very special space in my heart. Some of the most special moments that I can know remember would mean nothing if I had not the company and warm of my family. Among all these important moments, I can know remember all the Christmas Eve, when my father and I used to launch fireworks and then would come with the rest of the family around the manger.…

God calls us to live by the gospel; we must be merciful and compassionate. The only way we may be able to do that is if we follow God’s will and love others as we love oneself. In order to live in God’s will, we have to worship God, not gods. What is inhibiting humans from worshiping God is the worshipping of idols, “it is not enough to go from ignorance to truth….it is pointless to aspire to truth unless we are willing to distill its consequences.”…

“Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.” Isaiah 45:22 (NKJV). I heard the question asked last night. “What rewards your life?” The answer was; to deeply appreciate those, who love you by loving them back. That’s what life is all about. You can ruin your life by desensitizing yourself. We are all afraid to say too much, feel too deeply, to let people know just how much they mean to us. But not God, in fact, we find in this verse how much He loves us. Many of us have a mental picture of what a Christian should be. Yet many of us don’t make ourselves vulnerable enough to fully narrow all our interests until our mind, heart, and body are completely focused and looking at…

Christ is the central person in Christian discipleship. Without Christ, Christianity would not exist and there would be no followers of Christ. To be true followers of Christ, believers must be willing to learn of the ways and teachings of Christ. Christ is central to Christian discipleship because He is the teacher of His disciples. Through the Holy Spirit and Word of God, Jesus Christ calls His disciples to Him and then teaches them how to become like Him. Jesus gives free salvation to believers and followers of Him. However, there is a cost of following Jesus. To be a disciple of Jesus Christ, a person must be obedient and follow the commandments of God. Being obedient to Christ demands followers of Christ to put Christ before their personal relationships, careers, friends, children, and material belongings and to take up their own cross on a daily basis. Disciples of Christ must put Jesus before their own fleshly desires. Nevertheless, followers of Christ can be assured that Jesus will lead them as they follow His teachings and obey His commandments while acting like Jesus and living as he lived (Rogers, Adrian, 2005).…

Our love for others is usually based on how they treat us, and what they do for us. Even though we could do nothing for God, He still loved us with no doubt. God has created in us feelings, and a heart. In the book Praxis, they say that giving your heart to Jesus is like jumping into the lap of a parent and looking to them for guidance. When you give God your heart, you are trusting Him with your life, emotions, feelings, and you are trusting Him to guide your life in the right direction. In my life, I try to love the people around me the best way I can because I know I would want the same from them. I try to take what I learn from God’s Word and what He says about love and how we should use it and use it in my life to the best of my ability. Knowing that God has endless love for me, and how He says we should love our neighbor’s as we love ourselves is a constant reminder for me to be kind to others, and give them love and help whenever they need…

One of the greatest privileges of the Christian life is to go and proclaim the gospel to every nation, tribe, and tongue (Rev. 7:9). It is the task and duty of every believer to share Christ. When Jesus gave the Great Commission to the disciples, He said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations” (Matt. 28:19). The task of sharing the gospel can be done in one’s own community, workplace, or with family. However, in order to fulfill the Great Commission, Christians must go to every nation, tribe, and tongue to fulfill the task of reaching the world for Christ.…

Jesus Christ is the perfect example of charity. In His mortal ministry, He always went about doing good, teaching the gospel and showing tender compassion for the poor, afflicted, and distressed. His crowning expression of charity was His infinite love and compassion for others. He said, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). This was the greatest act of long-suffering, kindness, and selflessness that will ever be known. The Savior wants all people to receive His love and to share it with others. He declared to His disciples: "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another" (John 13:34-35). In relationships with family members and others, followers of Christ look to the Savior as their example and strive to love as He loves, with unfailing compassion, patience, and…

While the massacre was going on people were rushing in herds this way and that way trying to get away from the killers. But I suddenly came to an area where everything was still and calm. There was this preacher sitting on a bag of wheat and he created this sense of calm just by reading the Bible. He was reading in French the Sermon on the Mount. It was incredible the sense of peace and beauty in that group; you could see people holding their hands in prayer. Now, whether you believe in the Spirit or not, what he did was give the people their dignity back.…

I believe that Christian should stands together in helping people; when they are trying to teach the gospel to others for them to believe, the reason why people usually misread what a Christian is trying to teach them is because they have not really understood the meaning of the message and most of the time we have some people who are Christian that does not know how to teach the words without judging people. As Matt 6:9 and Luke 11:2 stated as well, it said when teaching his disciples to pray, Jesus urged them to address God as their Father in Heaven. I believe that if people live by these scripture we will be able to teach people in our community and change their understanding about God and maybe bring closer to God then away from him.…

The day of September 1, I missed class to be with my family in Memphis. My mom wanted everyone in our immediate family to gather together because my brother was leaving for the army. It was such an exciting week because I haven’t been home to see them in about year prior. My brother has recently graduated from high school and also turned 18. I am beyond proud of the person he has become, so to see him all grown up making the decision to leave home brought tears to my eyes.…

I woke up feeling physically, mentally exhausted from the day before, packaging meat and cleaning crates for Second Harvest Food Pantry. We sorted and pack meat. I did not think I could look at meat ever again. We then had to cleaned crates, after crates of what use to have food in them. It was a new day, and we had to return back to work. My mission group and I were going to River Food Pantry. I had no clue what to expect. I finally learned we would be serving homeless people.
