Love and Hate
Hate - A strong emotion of dislike towards something or someone. Or
Love - An intense feeling of deep affection or fondness.

I'll begin with Love's case. We've all heard of true love and what it can do to one's mind, but who has actually been so committed to you to make you forget about life. I'm not talking about the odd hazy scene around that crush or the butterflies you felt when your saw her staring at you. I'm talking about an endless relationship where love and nothing else make up your strong connection. I personally have never seen this in reality, and in this time nowadays, I strongly believe it has less of a chance of surviving. I may be wrong in saying this, but true love is a facade that fairy tales and celebrities try create in our minds. We don't know the difference between a lie and the truth anymore and that is the sad truth. We hear of so many failings in love and that it has the power to control your mind, control your being, while the other person couldn't care less. It’s a sad reality that confessing love is more difficult than your final examination. This is because acceptance of anyone and everyone is simply of the past. We don't care for the next people around us anymore, and this is proven by a simple question: do you know your neighbors? Do you think your safe in your neighborhood? Now, some of you will answer yes, and others, maybe. But, majority, you'll answer no Unless you have senior citizens who back in the day would know everybody on your street, avenue or drive, they'll be just like people on the internet, unknown to you.
Love is often a lie in itself and can cause more than a little sadness. Many people have committed suicide due to the sad fact that the one they love so much doesn't feel anything for them. Now isn't that weird? The very thing that we all want so badly for in life can be the very end of life. Love is also the very thing that can crush your hopes. When someone doesn't love you for who you are, you begin to doubt yourself, your abilities and you often, try to change yourself for the better or worse. Say you love me really had me thinking, the father might have been drunk at the time of when the story took place and I heard a rumor that when your drunk the real you comes out. I don’t have proof if it’s actually factual but from past experience people come out and you really find out who they are; when that kind of situations occur. This man was so pitiful he needed approval of his own children’s love and doing so by force. He had wept like a child, restrained his own daughter and showed his true colors just to hear three words “I Love You”. People will do anything just to taste the feeling of real love. I’m going to stop attacking love and get on to how it can make your life amazing. By simply existing, it can make you happy. In fact, maybe the happiest you ever been in your life. "To love is nothing, to be loved is something, but to love and be loved is everything."(Bill) That's basically how we can sum up love in a nutshell.
Hate, as we know it is a VERY strong emotion. Some even say it’s stronger than Love, but again, this is your opinion. My opinion is that, given time, Hate can fester and grow into something so strong; no amount of Love could mend it. If you love someone and they don't love you back, it can destroy your very being. But, if you hate someone, you won't be as hurt. In my experiences, it is highly unlikely that you will even feel a speck of remorse or sadness to feel so strongly and openly about someone. The only possible thing that might do harm to you is to dwell on that person. Putting too much time in how much u don’t like them that it’s setting up barriers for you to move on. Hate cannot do anything for your life, but take up a lot of its time. Where love can make your life the happiest it can possibly be hate can merely waste it. Sadly, some of us are easily influenced, even the stronger ones, are so consumed by hate and rage that we'll do anything just to not deal with the other person. The main points I identified happens to people every day, know love can either build you up or have you tumbling down, hate can have you idle not going forwards nor backwards. Hate and love is very real also extremely detrimental. Hate can waste your time without you knowing it and can consume you. Love can also consume you, but in my strong opinion, love is a much healthier consumption.
These are two very strong emotions; I personal think they’re the building blocks of what we are and what we believe in. With all the power vested in me, I don’t believe one leads to more trouble than the other. If you want a conniving, jealous life, hate is for you. If you want a happy gamble of a life, love is for you. I live my life simply with these two emotions in hand. "Everything in moderation."(Bible)

    The Shadow of Hate

The documentary remarks on the origins of race and how it has affected history and its people. There has been a history of intolerance in America against the “them”, the others. “Them”, being the different, the unknown. It is clear that people are afraid of the unknown because of the uncertainty it brings thus they immediately label anything different as “them”. The ultimate concept I was able to derive from the documentary was that race is an idea created by society to further certain people; whether it be on a political, social, or economical aspect. The Shadow of Hate accounts the troubling relic embedded in our country, which is the overwhelming prejudice that has occurred in America for centuries. Quakers, Native Americans, and the Japanese-Americans are a few groups that have been significantly affected by whites’ obsession and preoccupation to remain “superior” to the rest, the “them”. The documentary even brings forth current tensions that cause rifts between our cities and communities.…

The second type of love is the love that one person has between another human being, this special someone could be that other human beings soul mate. Hate is used as an “umbrella” term, and is used on subjects that are too broad. A good example of this is when students say they hate school. Not only is school academic, but it is also social. School is where friends associate, and most students enjoy this. Most students have a favorite class, so they certainly don’t hate that time. So what part of school do they actually “hate?” Then when asked if they would want to quit school they say “Of course!” But when one thinks about it, school is what builds up the rest of our lives to success. One cannot possibly hate something that causes happiness in a well educated life. Other examples include saying “I hate her,” which causes questions like why and who, and statements like “I hate my parents” cause judgment, in that bystanders will stereotype one as a rebel. If one said “I hate her because she betrayed me,”…

Hatred requires a constant examination of your hated object's flaws, its counterarguments, its good qualities-- anything that makes it unworthy of hate. And then, you counter those arguments. You crush them. You answer that whatever good the object of your hatred may have is based on incorrect logic and decide that it is worthless. That is why hatred is an overall better feeling than love. Hatred is purer, more empowering, and more intellectual, than love.…

There are many different forms of love: either love for family members, love for friends or even love for pets. Love has even been a common topic for many movies, books and even songs nowadays. The 2001 movie The Believer is a true-to-life portrayal of a young neo-Nazi whose anti-Semitic views are continually challenged by his Jewish background. The film opens with the quote, "I love and I hate. Who can tell me why?" which sets the stage for the movie 's depiction of Danny Balint, a boy torn between love and hate in almost every aspect of his life. Throughout the film Danny tries to calm this internal (and at times external) quarrel, which causes a great deal of friction for the main character. His life and his choices greatly reflect this struggle. Director Henry Bean uses imagery and narrative to show this tension. The article "Joseph and His Brothers: Quarreling After the Holocaust" can be used to parallel Danny 's struggle with the biblical story of Joseph in Egypt.…

Love is something we all feel. Towards family, lovers, or friends, it is always there, no matter how hard you try to push it away. Siddhartha felt much love on his way towards enlightenment. He loved Govinda, so he set him off to be on his own with the Buddha. He loved Kamala, even though it wasn’t LOVE love, he respected her so I believe he had a sort of friendly love of Kamala. He also loved his son, and the pain he went through in letting his son go and live his life got him much closer to Enlightenment. I believe that love doesn’t keep us from enlightenment. If a relationship fails, the pain and lessons from that suffering can push you closer towards enlightenment, and if it is an everlasting relationship, that true and pure happiness will push you even closer.…

Slavery in the United States of America was officially ended in 1863 by Abraham Lincoln with the Emancipation Proclamation. This new world order encourages individuality for all people, no matter the race, ethnicity, sex, or nationality. Unfortunately, the Black youths across the United States have failed to promote individuality by continuing to promote negative stereotypes of the Black community. With all of the negative images being produce about the Black community by the Black youths I believe that Black people are slaves, not in the sense of whips and chains, but slaves to false ideas, beliefs, and stereotypes. With TV programs and urban music reinforcing these slaves mentality, millions of Black youths are falling victim to these idol jabbers. Unless a sincere effort is made to end this neo-slave system, the Black community will face an extremely difficult and frightening future.…

In Barbara Graham’s “The Future of Love”, she says long-term fairy tale romance inspires true love believers and their perspective towards love itself. Graham expresses the idea that to her, a lot of relationships fail because both partners in the relationship fall in love with an idealistic view of who the other person is. She explains that couples jump into relationships thinking their significant other was this perfect image they made him/her out to be only to come to realization that it was a figment of their imagination. Graham also defies the sappy happy endings that she says everyone believes in since heartbroken romantics oversee a lot of the incompatibilities and faults in a relationship to make it more romantic for them. In our society, it seems that people who are not with a significant other will eventually go through her outlook in love. Not being in perpetual affection with somebody apparently makes one to constantly yearn for attention. Although many rhetorical strategies are used and her assessment has many valid points, there are still some aspects that can be disputed.…

Love is an awesome and serious matter. Love can sometimes be as serious as a heart attack. Love can ruin someone’s heart, which is an emotional wreck. I once heard my mother say that mental feelings hurt worse than physical feelings. There is love with a man and a woman, love with two women, love with two men, and love with multiple candidates. There are also some married couples in an open relationship, which means both of them sleep around with other people. Most people do not believe in homosexuality, lesbian, or open relationships.…

Genoice that can be found almost everywhere in the world that really no one is safe from. 1988, the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) was founded in Kampala, Uganda as a political and military movement with the stated aims of securing repatriation of Rwandans in exile and reforming of the Rwandan government, including political power sharing. The RPF was composed mainly of Tutsi exiles in Uganda, many of whom had served in President Yoweri Museveni’s National Resistance Army, which had overthrown the previous Ugandan government in 1986. While the ranks of the RPF did include some Hutus, the majority, particularly those in leadership positions, were Tutsi refugees.A new cycle of ethnic conflict and violence continued after independence. Tutsi refugees in Tanzania and Zaire seeking to regain their former positions in Rwanda began organizing and staging attacks on Hutu targets and the Hutu government. Ten such attacks occurred between 1962 and 1967, each leading to retaliatory killings of large numbers of Tutsi civilians in Rwanda and creating new waves of refugees. By the end of the 1980s some 480,000 Rwandans had become refugees, primarily in Burundi, Uganda, Zaire and Tanzania. They continued to call for the fulfillment of their international legal right to return to Rwanda, however, Juvenal Habyarimana, then president of Rwanda, took the position that population pressures were already too great, and economic opportunities too few to accommodate large numbers of Tutsi refugees.…
