Louis Spanker
The police questioned Amy LaTour’s two boyfriends, her maid and a burglar who was in the facility that night. The evidence leads us to know that Amy was strangled by the maid.
Given all of the evidence, we know the burglar, Louis Spanker, was not the killer. The evidence supports this claim because there is a jewelry box on Amy’s dresser and the jewelry is still in the box. If the burglar would have killed her he would have most likely taken the jewelry from the dresser. Most burglars steal items that are worth a good amount, so we now have the burglar out of the running for the murderer.
Henry Willy one of Amy’s boyfriend's has no evidence leading to him being the killer of Amy. The only piece of evidence given to us in the article saying that he is dating Amy.
After going through all of the clues given we know the killer is not Joe Wonty, Amy’s second boyfriend. We can see that Joe likes to get Amy gifts as seen in the photo. He had gotten her flowers and a signed photo that she must have like since she kept them in her room. When most people get gifts from someone special to them they will keep the gifts in

As we can see in the photo the reflection of the mirror shows the door to the room is open. That means someone had come into the room since people go through doors to get into a room. Also, we know that Amy was sitting at her mirror since the chair is pulled out and if she had been sitting in front of the mirror she would have seen who came into the room. Since she was used to seeing her maid come into her room it didn’t faze her. We could tell that Amy was getting ready since her hair brush was in her hand and she had a scarf was around her neck. Normally when people are getting ready they will be fixing their hair and putting on their outfit. Also, depending on when this entry task came out, people had their maids get them ready and do most things for

During further investigation of the crime it revealed that she was indeed hit across the head with an object, but it did not kill her; she later died from strangulation according to the swelling on her brain. It is believed that the rest of the scene was staged. It is just awful that someone would want to torture an innocent little girl, because records show what the strangulation happened about 45 minutes to 2 hours after she was hit in the head. Also during the investigation, the investigators had the family’s handwriting tested to see if their writing matched the ransom note; even…

six years after his parents, George and Rebecca Latimer, had run away from slavery in Virginia. They were determined to be free and that their children be born on free soil. Because of his light complexion, George was able to pose as a plantation owner with the darker-skinned Rebecca as his slave. Shortly after arriving in Boston, Massachusetts, he was recognized as a fugitive and jailed while his wife was taken to a safe hiding place. The arrest was protested vigorously by the community. Frederick Douglass, a former slave who had escaped to Massachusetts several years earlier, and abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison spoke forcefully against the arrest. There was a trial, and the attempts to recapture George and return him to Virginia caused considerable agitation in Boston. When the trial judge ruled that Latimer still belonged to his Virginia owner, an African-American minister paid $400 for his release. Although free, George was still extremely poor, working as a barber, paper-hanger and in other odd jobs to support his wife, three sons, and one daughter.…
