Navy SEAL Ralph on the Battlefield
Introduction- The main character, Ralph, would make a great Navy SEAL because he displayed great responsibility, leadership and cooperation during his childhood.

These ideas are used to help them get off the deserted island and get home to where they belong. “If we have a signal going, they’ll come and take us off”(Golding 42). Ralph wanted the boys to build a fire to signal a ship that may be passing by the island so they could get rescued from the deserted island. By displaying these ideas to the boys, Ralph shows leadership because he is presenting ideas that can possibly get them off the island and he wants to get off the island as much as they do. He also comes up with the idea that they could use another character’s glasses to start up the fire. Ralph has great leadership while working with the boys to come up with ideas for help.
Like Ralph, Navy SEALs need to have a great trait of leadership. They need to be able to be tactical in areas that are unknown to them. SEALs have to come up with ideas on how to be tactical in different situations. “Tactics, far from strategic, are used by SEALs in almost every operation they participate it” (Ryan). There are many different types of tactics used by Navy SEALs, such as raids, ambushes, and patrolling. These tactics show great leadership ability because they have to decide
