Lord Capulet Monologue
What? Your still crying? For god’s sake, just shut up now. I couldn’t even sleep last night because of the noise. I mean look at the state of you. You didn’t even cry this much when you were a baby! Go on then, aren’t you gonna tell her the good news to cheer her up? What? You’ve told her? What do you mean she doesn’t want him? I don’t understand. She should be thanking us.
Do you have any idea how many girls would die to marry Paris? This guy’s perfect for you. He’s loaded, and you’d be famous, you’ve always wanted to be famous and you’d even become a part of the royal family.
Ughhh, your as useless as a pen with no ink. I don’t believe you. After everything I’ve done for you. I’ve fed you, clothed you, bought you everything you’ve ever wanted, and this is how you repay me. Ugh, you stupid girl. Your going on that plane to marry him whether you like it or not, even if I have to drag you. Actually you know what I can’t even look at you, just don’t say anything, before I hit you. Ugh, remind me why we decided to have her again? You puny little hell-hated lout. I’ve spent every waking moment searching for the perfect husband, do you have any idea how many people you’ve let down? I hope your proud of yourself. You spleeny dread-bolted measle. You’re spoilt, that’s what you are. I can’t marry him, I’m too young. I’m not ready.
Well I’ll tell you what, if you don’t marry William, then I will throw you out. Disown you. And don’t say I won’t because I will. I don’t care if you stone, beg or even die in the streets, because you won’t be my daughter anyway, you won’t have anything, because everything you have is all because of me. That’s final. I won’t be changing my

Lady Capulet tries to convince her daughter, Juliet, to marry Paris by telling her how beautiful he is, how he has many good qualities, and how he needs a wife. Lady Capulet uses a metaphor to describe Paris to convince her daughter to marry him, comparing Paris to a book of love that is missing a cover. After Lady Capulet encourages her daughter, Juliet, to see Paris’s beauty by telling her to examine his features, she expresses, “Find written in the margent of his eyes. This precious book of love, this unbound lover, To beautify him only lacks a cover.” This quote demonstrates how Lady Capulet uses a metaphor, comparing Paris to an interesting book of love without a cover, to convince her daughter to examine him at the feast that her…

"Okay. Thank you," I said. "Anytime. Love you," she said. "Love you too. Bye," I responded as I hung up. I unlocked the door and opened it. When I stepped out I noticed Val was standing in front of the door. "Why are you up," I asked. "You never bring you phone to the bathroom and when you do it freaks me out," he said. "Okay?" I said. He looked me in the eyes for a second and the said," do you really not want to get married?" "I...I don't know," I said. "Well it's either all in or all out. I'm not going to be in a relationship where your not 100% committed," he said. "Val," I said as tears formed in my eyes," just give me some time to think please." "No Jen if you aren't going to be committed, how will I know if you'll even show up for the wedding?" He said angrily. "You know what if you don't give me any choice in this, we're through," I said. "Here's your stupid ring. Now get your stuff and get out," I screamed throwing my ring at him. He went into my room and packed up all his stuff and walked out, slamming the door behind him. When I heard the door close, I knew it was over. I fell down and sobbed. A few seconds later I felt someone come hug me. I looked up to see Addison. I fell on her and cried…

When Juliet is supposedly grieving Tybalt, Lord Capulet moves the wedding to Thursday. Then moves it to Wednesday! Lord Capulet’s impulsive behaviors continue and result in anger. When Juliet tells him that she does not want to marry Paris, he gets very angry and even threatens to disown Juliet “Hang thee, young baggage! Disobedient wretch! In Act 1 Scene 2 Capulet is portrayed as a considerate, responsible and loving father who is concerned about what is best for his daughter and see her as more than just an ‘object’ to be married off which isn’t common as it was a very patriarchal society. By displaying these forms of affection the audiences’ first impression of him is that he is a good father.…

*sniffles* Ever hands so pure and graced by God, had I not thought to be involved in such malice and cruelty. And yet here I sit, waiting for mine robes to incarnadine, too. From whence did such evil accumulate inside her, for which she desired immensely to seek power? I - she hath been given everything - a loving and loyal husband, a place of nobility, and even the favour of Duncan, the King himself. Yet I hunger’d for more.…

She moved to Ohio where her job was. They stayed behind and lived in Minneapolis with his grandmother. Then he moved here. He said I’ve never lived in a different state from my kids. We talked a while about my son and I. Then he told me he had a girlfriend. They met in college and fell in love. Now they live in different states. He said, “I don’t think this long distance relationship is working for me. I told her I did not feel we should continue to see each other.” I asked, “So what did she say?” He continued “She said just give it more time.” After a moment of silence, he took my hand and said, “We’ve worked together for years and you have always stayed in my corner. I feel you’re the only family I have here.” I smiled and thought well that good to hear. I’ll help you out when I can. The next day we were at work and he was taking out the trash. I was doing my paperwork. A woman who worked with us liked him a lot. She walked up and asked me why are you keeping your relationship a secret. You and James are a couple. I asked her what she was talking about? She said James told me and everyone else at the job you guys were a…

The air was laden thick with the musky scent of the woods and the dried herbs. Macbeth stumbled towards his chamber doors. The “firm-set earth” (II.i.69) beneath his feet echoed the fear that he carried in his heart, he was desperately looking for a place to hide. Overwhelm by guilt and fear he tried to control his racing heart beat and the panting. He had an uncanny feeling that he was being watched and hence he looked around the dimly lit hall.…

For the past eight years, I’ve seen you at your best and at your worst. I’ve seen you walk into the room in a towel, and today, we leave this church as husband and wife. I still remember asking you to be my girlfriend. You had that same cheesy smile that you definitely have on your face at this very moment, just because I know you’re thinking about it. I remember my heart racing as I asked you back when we were only seventeen years old. My heart raced just as fast when I asked you to marry me. I even remember those butterflies I got before picking you up for our dates. And here you are, standing before…

You both know of my desire to marry your daughter, Juliet, and I have decided to write this letter to prove why I should be allowed to take your daughter’s hand in marriage. We have discussed this before, Lord Capulet, and while you have told me to woo her, I hope this letter will help show you why I would be a great husband for Juliet. I’m sorry for the loss of your dear kinsman, Tybalt, but this further proves why we should make haste with this marriage. I know Juliet is going to be mourning over his death, and without anyone to comfort her, she will become more and more depressed. If I’m allowed to marry her, hopefully I will bring your daughter and her family joy despite the sad foundation this marriage…
