Narrative Assignment~ Long Live, My Beloved Grandma
Ben still possess a picture of his grandma and grandpa on the beach at Phuket, Thailand. She dressed in her black long sleeve blouse and the wind blowing against them gently. That day, his grandpa held her in arms and both of them were enjoying the sunset silently without any further conversation in such a romantic manner. Every time he take a look at this picture it reminds him of the horrific incident that followed it. Thinking of that incident he feel his pulse race up and a rage of fury in his heart but before any more of these emotions, water starts to runs down his cheek.
It was the 15th of August, 2008, and Ben's grandma sent him to the SAW International airport in the early 0800 morning. Both of them were in deep feeling of each other as he had spent half of his life with her since he first entered his secondary school. "Ben, do take care yourself and pay a call to me once you landed there." Gulping her tears, not to be seen by her grandson, she added, "Do drop by here for 'wantan mee', your favourite food whenever you feel free." Ben nodded as she slipped the money into his hand. He did not refused because he knew that his grandma wanted him to have more than what he was holding now. Both of them waved their hand to each other without saying goodbye. Ben left for his flight with his brief case after that.
That afternoon, Ben's grandpa, Mr. Marshal was meeting an old friend who just came from England. Both of them just sat at the same table with a cup of espresso each and was chattering about their past, mainly on those stuffs they had been through together when the time they was still a little child. They had a lot in common such as passion for classic literature, 60's hard rock music, photography and staying up late on summer nights. Out of blue, his friend hit the cup accidentally and the espresso spilled the whole table. Although this actions seems unintentional but it might indicates something
