London and Tokyo Stock Exchange
Sharetrading or sharedealing is the act of buying and selling shares in a company for financial gain. Used as a long term investment plan for many there are are also those that gamble on short term trades relying upon market trends and the effect that certain events will have on the price of the share that they are trading.
The financial capital of the UK is London and the majority of the trading companies are situated within the City of London or out at Canary Wharf which is a relatively new development housing the largest skyscrapers in the UK.
There are different types of stockbroker ranging from execution only services, that are usually supplied by your bank whom will carry out your desired trade on your behalf but will not be able to offer any advice, to financial advisers and institutional stockbrokers who will offer advice and carry out trades on behalf of individuals and large companies.
