The book “The Giver” is a novel written by Lois Lowry. It is about a boy named Jonas who lives in a community where everything is decided for them. Jonas was selected to be the new receiver of memory and have all of the memories of the past transmitted to him. Jonas wants everyone to have the memories so he goes and tries to escape the border of memory to let the memories free. There was movie based off the book there were some differences. Some of the differences are, The Ruin, The communities is up on a cliff, and The mark! These are some of the main differences between the book and the movie.

    The Giver is about an eleven-year-old boy named Jonas is a light-eyed boy who lives in a Utopian society. Within his society, there is no suffering, no hunger, no war, no color, and no love.
