Little Man M Childhood Observation Report
Little Man M is a four-year-old African American little boy who lives with his mother, father, and baby sister in a small community. His mother is a teller at a bank and his father works at a heating/air company. Their home is located besides his grandparent’s house. He loves to read, he’s very protective of his baby sister, and he loves playing with his classmates whether it’s indoors or outdoors. This observation was conducted at Little Man M childcare center. Little Man M progresses naturally through all three of the stages. He weighs about 43pounds and is about 35inches tall. Most of his growing occurred, during his toddler years. He can count his numbers from 1-10, he can run, hop, and throw a ball. I have seen many times where Little Man M throws a ball to his classmate Little T, run back in forth in the play area, and hop up and down. I have also seen him count his numbers from 1-10 when the teacher asks him to. On the other hand, he still needs to work on some of his words. …show more content…
While observing him I have seen him focusing on various activities at different times. Little Man M can sort objects by color, he can name his colors, and he can demonstrate his ear, foot, and fingers are located. He is growing cognitively a little more each and every day and is on his way to achieving all of the key
