Wong Zhen Qian CL.12497 As a nation progresses,the mentality and attitude of people should move in tandem. There seems to be a blatant disregard for good housekeeping and some Malaysians just like to litter. When addressing this topic, our keyword must be rubbish. Rubbish is something that we don’t want. For example waste of food, useless items, bottles and others. After observing some data collected by our government last year , it is shown that an average Malaysian produced 800 gm of solid waste a day. Other than that, those who living in urban area produce 1.25kg of solid waste a day.This led to an estimated 30,000 to 33,000 tonnes of waste being produced a day last year, compared to 22,000 tonnes of solid waste produced daily in 2012. From the data, we can see that littering in Malaysia is getting from bad to worse now. It may cause a lot of problems to our country. Thus, what are the problems our country can face as a result of littering? Litter can affect local economy, especially in tourist locations. When the tourist come to our country, it will give a bad impression for them. Indirectly, they and people in their country won’t come to our country again.If they don’t come to our country, how can we can earn money from them a lot of shop will close because there are nobody come and buy things in our country, economic depression will happen soon! Now, why a person don’t want to throw rubbish into a rubbish bin and choose to litter? Most of the people are lazy to walk to the rubbish bin to throw rubbish into it! They are very selfish and don’t know the government have to use the taxes that you pay to clean the rubbish.
Government will collect more taxes from people and everybody will only loss instead of get any benefits. Not only that, our country can’t be develop because most of the money will be used to clean the rubbish. In Malaysia everywhere is full of rubbish bin but i really don’t know why they are lazy to throw the rubbish into the rubbish bin. Because of lazy, so many bad things will happen in our country. Lastly, what we can do to overcome this problem? We should keep a litter bag in our car and hang on to litter until we find a garbage receptacle. Besides, we must make sure your trash cans have tightfitting lids.In our workplace, provide plenty of containers for garbage and recyclables. What can government do to overcome this problem? The government can create a Law to protect places from littering. For those who caught by the authorities must be fined heavily so that they will scared and behave themselves. I hope that this problem will be overcome as soon as possible. Why Singapore can do it but
