Linda Oster Biography In Psychology
Hi Dr. Oster,

I was just reading your posts and realized you and I came from the same home state, Michigan.

I was born in Highland Park, Michigan. It used to be a very nice area but not anymore. I remember those beautiful brick homes with basements that we used to live in.

My father who passed away about three years used to work for Standard Oil Company in Detroit before he went back to college to finish his PhD in psychology. Then we moved to Tampa, Florida and then to Winter Park, Florida (Central Florida).

My deceased mother did not finish her degree in history but she was very articulate in many different historical time periods.

Anyway, I just want to share this with you.

Blessings,

New York! Moving to New York changed my life. At 17, I was lucky enough to be offered a piano course in the United States, the Stony Brook International Piano Festival, organised by who would later become my teacher, Dr José Ramón Méndez, and his wife, Dr Amy Gustafson. Thanks to having been in that festival, I had the opportunity to perform in New York's Steinway Hall. This experience was a life-changer, as it was then when I realized that New York was the place where I could better develop my career. It was the hardest decision I had to make, but I think I chose rightly. I'm very happy there.…

I grew up in a two small towns called Ruston, La and Grambling, La. I spent my childhood in Ruston and my teenage years in Grambling. The two towns are so small it's like 1 small town almost. I enjoyed my childhood there. It was a place where kids were free to run and play. Til this day it is still a place where kids can be free and mothers don't have to constantly fret about there child being kidnapped of the street. I remember being up the street outside playing jump rope, volley ball, kickball, football, softball, and basketball with all the neighborhood kids. When evening came and the sun went down I remember my mother standing in the yard calling my name for me to come home because it was getting late.…

I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, attending church, singing, playing volleyball, and styling hair. I also enjoy watching the TV Shows like Scandal, Criminal Minds, and Cold Case. Natural Cure Books are the best I search for new authors whenever I can find the time. Traveling is fun and exciting I lived in Lithonia, GA for 5 years, I was married at an early age, and I didn’t give myself time to learn who I was as a person before I started a family and now I’m separated. I am thankful to have parents that can help me in my time of need. My focus now is to start over and put my time and energy into my 2 girls and my education.…

I can call it tradition for my family to move every couple of years, for I have moved four times in my life. I started the journey of life in Missouri, continued it in Tennessee where I learned to walk, South Dakota where I started my basketball career, into Ohio where I spent fifth, sixth, seventh grade, and now in Minnesota for the rest of my high school career. I can still remember that day, if you ask me. I thought my world was coming to a blazing end. It was an unnormally cold afternoon in Ohio, this kind of weather was familiar to me because I lived in South Dakota. Actually, it was a coincidence; since this is the type of weather I would have to get used to again. After all I was going up north moving to Minnesota.…
