In The Story "The Soldier Who Won The War" by R. L. Anony talks about War which has been a constant part of humans history, It has greatly affected the lives of people in the world today. However, the affect after war is extremely detrimental, some people take it well while others have horrible experiences which scars them forever even after war itself. For those that cant mentally overcome these bad experiences may develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, However, soldiers are not the only ones affected by wars; family members also experience mental hardships when their love ones are sent to war. Eli Fisher War story is a great example of literature that expresses what any soldier has experienced from the war once returning home.
The Narrator of the story uses storytelling to convey his war experiences with everyone, he also uses this method of storytelling, to blur the difference between truth and fiction. Storytelling is also a way of making a transition back into homes society and way of life that is completely different from what he's used to before he left the war. Eli Fisher, the portrays symptoms of what is known today as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. In the story Eli Fisher says " Please, God, no more war" "he prayed as a patchwork of horrific images shot through his head". (Line 32) " Like a Holocaust survivor, there was no psychologist or pill that could erase what had become a part of him, but Eli closed his eyes, tasted the cold coffee and once again forced the horrors of war from his mind." (Line 104)
