Letter to President Obama

Dear Mr. President:
You recently attended President Bush’s inauguration of his memorial library and, you must be thinking about your own legacy while you complete your 2nd term in office. It’s not too late for you to put your name next to some the greatest Presidents we’ve had in this country like Ronald Reagan and many others. But you need to have the political courage to do the right things. How would you as our 44th President be liked to be remembered in history?
I am 76 years old, a Republican and voted for Eisenhower which was about 9 years before you were born. During my lifetime, I have witnessed a lot of events, wars, inflation, high unemployment, poor education of our students, stock market crash and much more.
The reason for this letter is to give you my opinion of your Presidency and your government.
OBAMA ADMINISTRATION
Popularity versus effectiveness
It is truly unfortunate that you and your administration continue to blame President Bush for many of your problems and those facing us. Recently, your Press Secretary Jay Carney mentioned this again when asked a recent question by the press. You should play the cards that you are dealt and not blame the dealer.
It is obvious to me that you are constantly campaigning in order to gain popularity and also to help other Democrats regain the House of Representatives instead of governing.
Cover-ups
There have been numerous cover-ups during your administration but first, let me make one point. Presidential cover-ups have not been limited just to your administration. Some of the recent ones that come to mind have been; Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS political targeting, and the gaining access to AP telephone records.
Examples of cover-ups appeared during the recent Congressional hearings when witnesses stated, “I cannot remember” and the most recent witness taking the
