I. Objectives. By the end of the lesson, students can be able to listen to the text and recognize the distances from Lan’s house to some places. They also make a survey about some personal information.
II. Language content
1. Vocabulary: post, means of transport, pocket, centre, recess
2. Grammar : review and practice structure: How far is it from.......to.........? It’s about..........................
III. Teaching aids: Textbook, CD, CD player, chalk, board

- T calls 2 students to go to the board and practice asking and answering questions about distances from places to places.

Warm up
(5’)
T holds a game named: Whisper
- T explains the rule: “I will divide class into 3 groups. I have a sentence which is written in a piece of paper. Each ss in the first table of each group will go the board to see the sentence. Then, you have to whisper to the next ss till the end. The last ss will go to the board and write the sentence on the board. The group write sentence exactly and fastest is the winner
Sentence: It’s about 500m from my house to school

- T plays the CD and asks ss to listen carefully and write the distances:

- T plays the CD again and checks with Ss.

b. Where is the movie theater?
c. How do they go to the movie theater?
d. When do they post the letter?
