A leprechaun is a type of fairy, it's a green, loving, Irish fairy. The irish wear green because not only is it a tradition now but it is also a good luck color. Green is the color that symbolizes happiness. Those little short irish fellows that have a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow are only about three feet tall some of those little guys are angry little men but mostly they are jolly and loving.
