He was arrested at 1:50 P.M., November 22, 1963, in a movie theater in Dallas after a police dispatcher announced: “Have information a suspect just went in the Texas Theater on West Jefferson.” Before the arrest, the president and an officer were killed. At the cell, Oswald had an attorney called upon his behalf to represent him in court. The attorney described Oswald, who was dressed in white T-shirt and slacks, as calm and rested. He had a bruise over one eye but appeared to be in good health. The attorney then requested a forensic psychologist for further evaluation. The psychologist reported that Oswald did not confirm nor deny whether he worked alone, nor would he reveal any other information. The psychologist was prompted by the attorney to visit the family. The only thing that drove him and gave him pleasure was indulging in the revolution ideals, where he could forget his failures. He was a support of Marist ideals. He previously attempted to defect to the Soviet Union for a job, but he was unable to grasp the opportunity. By chance, he saw an opportunity to be somebody and took it after he had learned the president would be in

In august 1952, while living with half-brother John Pic, at the time a U.S. coastguardsman stationed in New York City, Oswald and marguerite were asked to leave after Oswald allegedly threatened Pic’s wife with a knife and struck their mother, marguerite. Charges of truancy, led to psychiatric assessment at a juvenile reformatory. The psychiatrist, Dr. Renatus Hartogs, described Oswald’s “vivid fantasy life turning around the topics of omnipotence and power, through which he tries to compensate for his present shortcomings and frustrations.” Finding a “personality pattern disturbance with schizoid features and passive-aggressive tendencies,” Dr. Hartogs recommended continued treatment. However, in January 1954, Oswald’s mother returned with him to New Orleans. At the time, there was a question pending before a New York judge as to weather Oswald should be removed from the care of his mother to finish his schooling, although his behavior appeared to improve during his last months in New York.…

Oswald’s father had died before he was even born, just two months shy of Lee’s birth Robert Sr. had suffered a fatal heart attack. In January of 1944, Oswald’s mother decided to remarry to Edwin A. Ekdahl. Oswald even described Ekdahl as the “father he never had”. Oswald’s brother, John, said that Ekdahl had treated the boys as if they were his own children. Unfortunately Oswald’s mother had expected Ekdahl of infidelity and left him in the summer of 1946. According to a study conducted by University of Melbourne shows that boys are more likely to live a life of delinquency whereas girls seem to be more unaffected by the absence of a father figure.…
