There are many desirable, non-existing, and undesirable behaviors in a person’s life. We might have those desirable behaviors that we want to strengthen. Then we also have non-existing behaviors that we want to start. But sometimes we all might have those undesirable behaviors that we want to prevent from happening. We have those undesirable behaviors that are really taking a toll on our precious time and life. Those people, me included, really need to find ways to break those undesirable behaviors. I have this one undesirable behavior that I really need to break. It is costing me precious time that I could use doing something else. It is costing me precious grades because it is preventing me from doing my school work properly. Procrastination, overall, is a pain in the rectum. It is an undesirable behavior that I have had for the longest time and something I have been wanting to stop. It is something in my life that needs to drastically change. So, it has become my target behavior in this little experiment I am going to conduct on myself. I am going to conduct this experiment by using some learning principles like operant conditioning and schedules of reinforcement to shape my behavior from undesirable to desirable. I’m going to use the operant conditioning principle and use positive reinforcement to keep myself focused on the task and not procrastinate. I’m also going to use the schedules of reinforcement fixed and variable interval to see which method works better for me. I am going to work for three hours a day and use my friend to bring in the reinforcements to keep myself focused and on task so I will be able to shape my undesirable behavior to desirable behavior. For the first day I had my friend come every half hour and reward me with something with a pumpkin flavor. (FYI- I am a little obsessed with all things pumpkin so it was a very nice reinforcement to keep me focused and to not procrastinate.) On the second day I repeated the process, but
