LEARNING ABOUT LEBRON JAMES USING SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITES
Lebron James is a man of no small reputation in the world of sport. His skills and talents on the basketball court have captivated the hearts of millions around the world. I personally have spent many hours in front of the TV cheering him on to victory in the NBA (National Basketball Association). Although I have always been a huge fan of Lebron James, I had never taken the time to research his life up until now. I decided I wanted to learn as much as I could about Lebron’s background, his career and personality using only social media websites. Books and magazines are great, but we live in a world today that allows us to access a whole library’s worth of information by a click of a button. These are easily some of the most popular websites being used in the world today.
I began my search on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebron_james), which in my opinion is one of the easiest websites to use. By simply typing in “LeBron James” I was given an enormous amount of information on one clear page. The site had user friendly tabs beginning from Lebron’s early childhood and high school years, all the way down to his current NBA career. I found out that he was born on December 30 1984 in Akron, Ohio. Lebron James was raised by his single mother, Gloria James and introduced to the sport of basketball at the age of nine. It was exciting learning about the days when Lebron played for St Vincent-St
