Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION

A. Background of the Study
As with everything in this world, it is governed by laws. Some people understand laws of physics, natural laws and even laws created by humans. But what about those principles that a person can't see happen in action? This is where the law of attraction is introduced. The Law of Attraction states, "That which is like itself is will attract." That is easy enough to understand. Like attracts like.
But how does that work in people’s lives? This is where it takes time to first understand, then accept and finally embrace the Law of Attraction. Basically it says that a person attracts everything into his lives. And it's all based on what he is thinking.
The Law of Attraction is a law of nature. It is impartial as the law of gravity (The Secret, 2006).

In the history of science, the laws of attraction is a catch phrase used when discussing the perceived nature of bodies that have a tendency to attract, thus contradicting itself as physics laws which serve to define specific properties and can be proven with experiment to be constant. Historically, the concept of there being a known set of the laws of attraction evolved from the laws of affinity, which numbered up to ten depending upon which chemist was sourced.

The law of attraction can be traced through ancient times the immortal Buddha was actually one of the first to introduce man to the law of attraction. He said, “What you have become is what you have thought.” This was a principle that the people of the east were acquainted with for centuries before it began to sweep into

Everything in the universe follows certain laws. The laws of nature do not apply only to earth. Our entire universe follows the same laws. These laws never change. Your coffee on a counter will always become cool. Gravity remains steady never random. The speed of light remains constant. The earth rotates in 24 hours. The laws of physics is a pattern that nature obeys without exception. It is important to understand that all matter is energy. Our thoughts, feelings, and emotions also follow certain laws. Many people are not aware that every thought we think and every emotion we feel has a measurable frequency. We humans are a part of nature. The human body, mind, thought, emotions and feelings are also governed by certain laws. Now, just because we are not able to see thoughts and emotions does not mean that they do not affect the world around us. You cannot see electricity, but it helps people worldwide and no one seems to understand it. You cannot see gravity but that does not mean that gravity does not exist. Through visualization, meditation, and affirmations we can attain any goal we set out for ourselves. As humans we have the power to change our reality simply by changing our thoughts and what we focus on.…

To change a way of life, one must change his/her way of thought. The Law of Attraction proves to be the most powerful law in the universe, as is shown through the study of quantum physics and the relationship between the flow of energy into and out of the body. If humans learn to manifest the energies of the universe and one’s own being in a proper manner, we will be able to accomplish everything our hearts desire, according to the Law of Attraction.
