The last of the Mohicans was a movie that really appealed to me from the beginning because of the heroism and the action into it. The main characters in this movie were Daniel day- Lewis as Nathanial Poe (Hawkeye) and Madeline Stowe as Cora Munro. The movie could be described as a romantic action like a Spiderman or a superman movie always needs the girl to give motivation to the main character but it is a historical drama. The movie was 112 minutes long, it contains three languages English, French and Mohawk, it was filmed in the USA, it was released in September 1992 and its tagline was the first American hero, it is also based on the novel of James Fennimore cooper. It is about the French and British war over territories along the Hudson River and both sides trying to recruit the natives to fight for them. Nathaniel is on the British side; Nathaniel who is a cunning shooter and a great warrior who was raised by natives named the Mohicans and only three are left, saves Cora Munroe and her sister Alice from being killed by the antagonist of the story which is magua a Huron native who seeks revenge on the British for killing his family and friends. Nathaniel, his father chingachgook and his brother Uncas lead the survivors of the Huron attack to for fort William hennery where the battle is taking place, that’s how Cora and Nathaniel meet and fall in love. The heroism shown in the movie by the Mohicans (Nathaniel, chingachgook and Uncas) was the main thing that I liked in this movie; I liked how the Mohicans saved Cora and her sister and the fighting scenes really gave me the chills and power to do something heroic of my own, the movie gave me a sense of urgency to do something towards the world. The movie also shows the struggle of natives and how their homes and lives were ransacked by the French and British.
