History
LankaBangla Investments Limited (LBI) was incorporated in Bangladesh with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSCF), vide registration no. C 83568/10 dated 29 March 2010 as a Private Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1994. This Company is a fully owned subsidiary of LankaBangla Finance Limited. LBI inherited its merchant banking operation from its parent company, LankaBangla Finance Limited, which was the first merchant bank to offer discretionary portfolio management services back in 1997. The market trends in terms of market capitalization, market liquidity, market concentration, number of listings, volatility in the market index and foreign portfolio investment were considered. The study finds that key indicators are significantly correlated.
